Dispute the neglected main sign (a indicator that the restaurant doesn't care or is broken) the restaurant itself was was clean and well maintained inside. The wait staff was wonderful and the food was fantastic. While looking at the menu I felt the pieces where a bit high but after being served and tasting my food.... The price was well worth it. I absolutely recommend this restaurant.
There is a massive difference between locally owned restaurants and the big chain ones and I am really glad that Governors (locally owned) is open and thriving. Governor's Restaurant & Bakery offers a wonderful dining experience with friendly and helpful staff. The menu features a diverse range of options, including great breakfast selections, delicious sit-down food, and amazing baked goods that are fresh and prepared properly. The large restaurant includes a weekend buffet and is clean and spacious, making it a great stop for travelers. The blueberry crumb pie is a must-try, along with the griddled banana bread and blueberry muffin. The pastries and sweets in the deli cases up front may have guests bringing home something for later. With affordable prices, it's a great value. Whether in the area or making a special trip, Governor's is a tradition worth continuing.
