“This is a wonderful restaurant and bar as long as you have realistic expectations. It isn't fancy, trendy, or romantic, but it is a friendly place full of local color. Personally I love eating there; it won't knock your socks off, but sometimes it's nice when your socks stay on.“

“The food was top notch. Great service. Really cool space. Menu options are elevated without being snooty and pair so well with the curated wine and cocktail menu. We had The Brandied Camembert, The Pork Belly, Chicken and Waffles, and Birria Tacos. All were delicious, thoughtful, and expertly cooked, but the pork belly was done so well, so perfect, that I foresee an addiction developing. At 8pm on a Friday night we had no problem finding street parking out front. This place is jewel on the Bangor dining scene crown and should not be missed! Don't sleep on it!“

“My favorite place to visit in Bangor to un-wind and kick back . Atmosphere is great and very clean. They have pool tables and good music . The owners run the place and are super friendly. The food is great and the drinks are made perfectly and properly priced . “

“Food was awesome. I got the chicken bacon ranch burger but wanted fried chicken, which they were happy to do. Very accommodating kitchen staff. Bartenders are always friendly and attentive. The updated interior design is nice. Wild with live music on weekends, and a great spot to unwind after a long day during the week.“

“Real cool little brewery in downtown Bangor. We drove up from Bar Harbor and glad we did. It was one of the better breweries in Maine. They had a bunch of solid NE IPA's which I enjoyed and the bartender was a cool guy. They were flooded because Phish was in town and he did a great job. Def recommend checking it out.“

“It's got it all- great BBQ, paper table cloth for our spontaneous art work, live performer played. The axe throwing lanes were booked solid but nonetheless we stayed and I'm so happy we did. Bravo! Recommend highly to families in the area to visit their kiddos at UMAINE.“

“Let's be real, I came into orono hungry and burnt 30 minutes before Yamas closed. They not only served us great food, the service was amazing, and I get it, no one likes customers that close to closing, but we were treated so nicely. Go there, get those nachos and cold Guinness into ya, and have a dope evening.“

“Although I only ate there once while briefly living in Bangor; the food and service were great and the view was spectacular. I happened to meet the owner out walker her dog while on one of my daily walks along the river. A simple hello sparked a conversation, she was so kind and funny. I had no idea she was the owner until we got to chatting and ended up doing the river walk together that day. She lifted my spirits and if I still lived in town I would be a regular not just for the good food and service but to support such a kind human and her family.“

“The poutine is to die for, coming from a Canadian. Nicely presented fresh and unique dishes make Blaze the place to be and crave to go back. The pizza is made in a real wood fired oven that creates a perfect texture and natural smoky flavor. Highly recommended.“

“Margaritas is a UMaine college town classic. I love to go for their Trivia nights, get a flight with my friends, and share the chicken nachos, which are huge and incredible! For my gluten-free friends, be sure to ask for their gluten free tortilla chips. I always feel welcome by the staff, and recently met the manager who is super sweet and loved to talk about her time at UMaine, but it is clear Margs is her passion at the moment. Their seasonal margs are usually pretty good, but I always recommend getting a flight to try different flavors.“

“We have always enjoyed Chili's, but in the past nothing really made it stand out. Well, our visit last night sure did! The entire dining experience was top notch from the moment we walked in the door. The employee who seated us was friendly and efficient, our waiter Jack was attentive and personable, the food was ready quickly, we never waited for anything or had to flag our waiter down. It is obvious that the management has done an exceptional job lately with the staff. Keep up the good work!“
