“1st time visitor - been wanting to try for some time. I live about an hour from Rockland, so to visit, I need to know that the earlier you get there, the better. The last time I tried to visit, I saw the dreaded "SOLD OUT" sign on the door! This time, I planned a visit with my daughter, who likes doughnuts as much as I do. We arrived shortly after they opened, so there was plenty of selection available. We enjoyed a doughnut ? there and then took a half dozen home.I was pleased by the small, homey shop. The service was great. They had plenty of patience while we labored over what to get.Didn't find any doughnut that I didn't like, but I did have favorites! For me, simpler is better, so I preferred the lemon glazed one.“
“Driving through Thomaston on our drive along the coast of Maine. Husband and I were hungry from hiking and decided to stop. Best decision! Salad with chicken salad on top was delightful (did not skimp on toppings) and a decent portion. The Vactionland latte was flavorful with a hint of blueberry but not overly sweet. Kind staff as well!“
“I had to take a Zoom meeting on my phone and was pleasantly surprised to learn that they have a "phonebooth" so I didn't have to bother anyone or go outside. It's strictly BYOP (bring your own phone.) They made a latte that was just perfect. The staff were friendly, and efficient.“
“Best cold brew coffee I’ve had and served up with personality. I routinely find myself here working, overlooking the harbor, and the owner is always happy to explain coffee bean varieties and his brewing process to every customer. His willingness to experiment with flavors often makes this a unique experience worth a visit. A true scientist at work.“
“Delicious pastrami sandwich with cheese. A little on the smaller size compared to other places that I’ve eaten at that serve pastrami sandwiches. You order at the counter and they bring the sandwiches to you along with chips. Nice atmosphere.“
“Fresh bagels made daily on site, generous cream cheese spread--what could be better? I had the bagel and lox, and my guy had the breakfast egg and sausage sandwich. We both chose sesame bagels, and we both had coffee. The place is lively and spacious, with counter folks who seemed to enjoy their jobs, and were friendly and quick to make our sandwiches, even though they were quite busy. All this, and dog-friendly too!“
“They're only available for preordered food on Saturdays (and I believe Tuesdays-although last time my boyfriend and I were in Maine they weren't open on that Tuesday). We preordered me a curried vegetable hand-pie and also some lemon almond scones. My only issue is that I should have ordered many more. So so so delicious.“
