Magissa offers a wonderful taste of Greece in Portland, serving delicious Greek dishes with friendly service. The relaxed and friendly vibe creates a comfortable and authentic atmosphere, making it a great spot for a meal or dinner date. The menu features reasonably priced and generous portions, including tender calamari, flavorful gyros with perfectly seasoned lamb, and the delicious seared halloumi, which many find worth the trip. Customers enjoy the fresh ingredients in dishes like dolma and mezza platter, with the chicken being a standout choice. The lamb gyro remains popular, with tender meat and fresh pita, although some wish for more lamb in the portion. The staff, including attentive and lovely servers, contribute to the welcoming environment. The restaurant tends to fill up quickly, so reservations are recommended. Overall, Magissa is a fantastic place for anyone craving Greek food in Portland.
