A lovely little place. The staff is very down to earth and nice. The food is incredible and honestly I felt like it came out pretty quick. The price is very reasonable making it a great repeat place and not just a once in a while treat which I'm glad about because I'd been hoping this could become a regular joint of mine and it most definitely will be now. It is loud, being a tavern, so be aware if you have noise sensitivities it's a small place with music and TVs...
First meal of my Portland experience. I don't know if I was just really hungry or if it really was that good, but I had an out of body experience while eating my fried haddock sandwich and then I looked down and it was gone. Everything was perfectly crispy and seasoned- even the fries tasted exponentially better than your run of the mill dive bar. I thought, "no way is a chili cheese dog worth $15".
I was mistaken. The first two bites were worth that and everything else is a bonus.
