My husband and I were born and raised in Miami Florida, but we have been living in Vermont for about 3 years now. Based on our experience from growing up in Miami, this place definitely has the best and most authentic Central American cuisine we’ve had since we left Florida. The staff there were very pleasant, friendly, and welcoming. Thank you for reminding us of home!

This was my first time coming here, as I was visiting from New York. I got a pupusa con queso and another one with loroco, as well as a side of fried plantains. The food was incredibly fresh, probably the freshest I’ve ever had at any restaurant. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to try something new. I wish I lived nearby so that I could come here more often!

Excellent food and excellent service! We ordered pupusas and plátanos fritos. Both dishes were made fresh from scratch. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

Been coming here for decades . The food is ok . It’s not what it once was . No pride in the food. No seasoning . Bland. Dry pupusas . My revueltas was off. No chicken tamales available . The burrito tasted like it had cabbage in it . They use to make the burritos look fancy with sour cream and avacado . The prices were not what was on the menu .$4 for a pupusa ? Come on . Cleanliness needs improvement . No pepper as in salt and pepper .

I ate here for the first time and had the Bisteak Encebollado for lunch (beefsteak 'smothered in onions and tomatoes' and service with rice, beans, and lettuce). The meat was tough and not seasoned. You order at the counter but they bring your food to your table. Service was poor; no one asked how my meal was or recommended a hot sauce (the other table occupied by Salvadorians had two sauce containers but there were none on the other tables or available anywhere else). I could have asked but the beefsteak was so tough that it didn't matter anyway. The place doesn't have much atmosphere. Maybe a different meal would have been better, but I'll never know.
Comida casera recien Hecha, hace recordar en mi casa cuando mamá hacia la comida . muy rico y bendecido.

Anyone that gives this place less than five stars is delusional, has no idea what they’re talking about, or is just a plain hater. I have been going to this place since they opened. I have never had anything but five star service. The food is always on point, I would recommend to anyone in the weight as well worth it. This place is a treasure in one of Portland. Best places if you’re looking for El Salvadoran comfort food. my favorite thing to order from there is the beef stew dinner it’s not actual stew, but it is delicious
You can't eat inside only for takeout, they should change the description because they confuse people who are looking for a nice place to eat as a family and they won't prosper with takeout only meals.
