The Pad Kapraw has SO much flavor. It is spicy and just a hint sweet and there are plenty of veggies and nice tender slices of chicken. So good. ?
Wanted to love this place because of the idea of it being a Thai shack by the ocean but I just don't love fried food that much. It seems like they have pre made pad Thai or fried rice and they fry up whatever you want on it after you order. Scant amount of veggies so I was glad we also got an order of fried green beans. My husband refried the leftovers with more spice and finished it off.
We stopped for lunch. They are located near the ferry service to Vinalhaven. They have great tables and benches made from pieces of granite. They have some Thai food and some haddock, shrimp, and scallops. All are very good.
Thai Tugboat is a hidden gem near the ferry to Vinalhaven. They offer delicious Thai food, haddock, shrimp, scallops, and the must-try crazy rice with clams. The cozy restaurant has unique granite tables and benches. Perfect spot for a quick meal while waiting for the ferry.
