“If you want an elite coffeehouse and bakery experience, you'll love this place. If you are going to gripe about how much more expensive that experience was compared to your last Duncs run, this is not for you. Novel flavor combinations (in the best way) for hot, cold and frozen coffee. They even have frozen hot chocolate (as well as hot). Eating in gives you time to savor the Happy Days/Poodle Skirt vibe. The vintage albums on the walls are interesting as is the decor in general. Coffee flavors might include the words honey, lavender or salted and the bakery case has a surprising amount of variety for a small shop that does it all in house.”

“I live in Kentucky, and my 88 year old dad lives in Bridgton Me. I've heard about Smokin` J`s, so I called them and told the lady I'd like to do something nice for my dad. She couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Let me pay over the phone, and they delivered it to him. He was so happy. Said those were the best ribs he ever had.”

“Gluten free food can be hard to find…especially delicious gluten free! We recently had occasion to try their onion rings which were freshly made to order and were full of flavor! They take food allergies seriously and we are so thrilled to be able to enjoy local food that everyone in the family can enjoy. We will most certainly be back and recommend giving their food a try. It’s definitely worth the wait on a busy day!”

Maine Morning coffee is beautifully roasted and deeply flavorful, no matter which of their many beans we choose. And it is really fun and enlightening to sample a few. “Me, my wife and daughter had breakfast there today and MAN, it was AWESOME! I had meat lovers omelette and the ingredients are COOKED in the egg, not thrown in and folded over. Same with my wife, amazing ham, pepper, and onion omelette! The best was the Cinnamon Swirl French Toast and it was probably one of the best french toast dishes I've ever had! VERY reasonably priced, service was excellent, and LOVED the fact they LOVE our military! The picture collages hanging up were awesome! My father is a Vietnam Veteran and I support those that support them!! Highly Recommend!!!!”

“This is nothing against our server because she was great and very sweet and accomodating... management on the other hand... my husband and I went here to celebrate my 30th birthday... He heard really great things about this place from a number of his coworkers and people that live locally and let me tell you... we were both were very disappointed. The food was alright, nothing I'd really rave about... but the cocktail menu... VODKA, VODKA, AND MORE VODKA. Not much variety at all... which coming from a bartender/server of 10+ years, if you knew what you were doing then you would know that not everyone loves vodka. I ordered the cucumber cooler, which is typically made with gin... just because you use Effen Cucumber Vodka, does not make it a cucumber cooler... that was the most horrible tasting drink I ever had to force down. Clearly the "customer is always right," does not apply to this establishment. Any good manager would take it off the bill and accomodate the guest and offer something else. NOPE NOT THIS PLACE!!! I ended up forcing myself to drink it because I was not letting my husband pay for a nasty drink to be dumped down the sink anyway. So I order the Aperol Spritz and it was alright. I will say they need more variety on the cocktail list, and I will give you a new recipe for your Cucumber Cooler FREE of charge... GIN (anything but well).. muddled cucumber & mint, touch of simple syrup, splash of lime juice, give it a hell of a good shake, & top it off with soda water... I'm sure you will get way better reviews off that one menu change. Good luck this summer cause y'all are gonna need it!”

“A really nice spot to hang out and eat and drink on a summers day with excellent views of Long Lake and the White Mountains beyond. I'm not so comfortable with this digital menu process which in itself is great but to have a server expect a generous tip is questionable when none of the customer service qualities of politeness, attention to details, good memory of names, accurate ordering without writing down a thing, minimum wait time, etc.,  that make up great service are present  It's more like here's your app ordered food now hurry up and eat and move on. Next. That's the feeling I get a this place but still I like it all tolled but don't expect the same tip as a traditional restaurant.”
