“While I dont normally give out 5's for thick crust pizza, The Beacon does a great job with their thicker pies. Well coked great toppings and dough is thick but great tasting and not, well, doughy! I had a sausage and onion pie 16" for 25$ (inc 15% tip) amd it could easily feed 3 hungry people or 4 not ravenous...point being, great value for money. Thanks Beacon!”

“I arrived here around 4PM. At that time, I had been awake since 3AM, two time zones to the west, and had traveled over 1700 miles by aeroplane and 120 miles in a motor coach to reach this establishment. My objective? Acquire a scoop of Graham Central Station for my fair maiden who had not had a lick of this mythical ice cream flavor cross her tongue in months.

Unfortunate circumstances out of anyone’s control that arose mere moments earlier resulted in the establishment closing for an unknown amount of time, just before my arrival. In the moment of intense disappointment, a kind woman approached me in the parking lot. She introduced herself as the owner and proprietor of the establishment. I explained my quandary to her, and without hesitation she offered to personally bring my party two of the largest scoops of Graham Central Station she could gather. Mere seconds later, she not only returned as promised with two sizable goblets of the aforementioned ice cream, but REFUSED to accept my legal US tender and insisted we accept the gracious gift.

The next day; we returned for more, and were more than happy to pay.

“Upon entering the restaurant we found the decor to be warm and inviting. We had a 5:30pm reservation, were sat immediately, and provided a glass milk bottle filled with cold fresh water. We ordered our drinks; two Apple Press’ and Substance on draft. The Apple Press was a well designed cocktail! During our visit we also ordered a mojito and an espresso martini, which were equally wonderful! For dinner we ordered a Rosemary Chicken Pie, Brick Chicken and the House BBQ. The food was levels above anything we’ve had at other restaurants in the area. Everything is homemade and seasoned to perfection with large portions that will more than satisfy your appetite. We ordered a slice of Espresso Cream Cheesecake to go. Throughout our visit, our server Michaela, was attentive and it was clear she cared about making our experience a great one! We will be enjoying many more meals at Yolked Farm to Table. Hint: Make sure you make a reservation if you want to ensure a table. The restaurant filled up quickly while we were there and stayed full.”

The owner and staff are exceptional, creating such a warm and welcoming environment. It’s always a comfortable place to bring the kids, which makes the experience even better.”

“If you are looking for really good home style cooking, I recommend visiting Two Mums. Everything they serve is of local ingredients where possible and made right there. Everything I have had from here is delicious. From upside down shepherds pie, meat or veggie lasagna, hot ham and cheese sandwich, pulled pork, 5 cheese Mac and cheese, and home made Maine baked beans to cold sandwiches and salads. Oh, and don’t leave without getting a desert. Maple peanut butter cookies and chocolate brownies. YUM!!!”

Not only is the food amazing, but the staff there is amazing, fast, and they have probably the friendliest waitress I’ve ever met there. 100% reccomend. “Gluten free food can be hard to find…especially delicious gluten free! We recently had occasion to try their onion rings which were freshly made to order and were full of flavor! They take food allergies seriously and we are so thrilled to be able to enjoy local food that everyone in the family can enjoy. We will most certainly be back and recommend giving their food a try. It’s definitely worth the wait on a busy day!”
