“Generally recommend because this is literally our favorite place… however last night was a horrible experience. It was my husbands birthday and we took our 2 kids. Amy was our server and she was AWFUL. We were there for over an hour and a half and barely got drinks and our appetizers. We ended up getting so irritated by lack of service we didn’t even eat our meals. We took them home and threw them away because at that point it was soggy and gross. So we didn’t even eat what we paid for. Instead of standing around chatting maybe actually serve your tables. Never got drink refills or asked if we wanted one for that matter. She wasn’t even the one to bring us our stuff. Other servers did because she was to busy chatting and standing around. Btw the host was fantastic and is always fantastic. She works very hard!“

“Made a reservation here because we liked the idea of a 4 course tasting menu and trying new things. It was nice enough inside but could've looked better with tablecloths and better centerpieces. Not leaving the door to the supply closet open the whole time would've helped atmosphere too. Also, having the bar so close to the table with the server standing at it most of the time, made us feel like we had to whisper to have a private conversation or discuss the food. Server was nice enough but would represent the caliber of the menu better if she dressed in something other than jeans and a tshirt. Also, she forgot our silverware until the second course, when we asked. Food itself was a mix of OK and LOVE, no hate. Some things were absolutely amazing , while others were cooked well but slightly overseasoned. Can't really rate this place on the food though because they do a different menu every day! I would still love to try this place again and give it another shot, just not for a special occasion again, since it was too informal feeling for that.“

“My husband and I visited State Lunch recently and our experience was incredible… literally a perfect night out for us. The atmosphere is great, the bar is gorgeous! We started off with drinks, tried several margaritas, all delicious! Everything we ordered for dinner was cooked to perfection, the food options were unique and all amazing! … the waitstaff was very friendly and the owner makes himself a familiar face.. he makes it a point to stop by to say hello and make sure you’re enjoying yourselves… can’t wait to get back there! “We don't go out for breakfast often anymore but when we do, this is always our first choice. The people are friendly and welcoming, and they remember us even if it's been a while. The food is always fresh and delicious and we leave happy and full every time. It's in a great place too. If you like people watching while having a hot meal, this is the place for you.
Highly recommend their grilled muffins. I usually take one to go lol

“Went for dinner and was very pleasantly surprised. Chicken Vindaloo was delicious with the right amount of heat (I like it very spicy and it was perfect.) The Naan was warm, soft and flavorful. Looking forward to going back in the near future.“

“My father and I stumbled upon this gem a few years ago on our annual fishing trip and is now a staple of our trip. We talk about Ming Lee as much as we talk about the fishing. This is the best Chinese restaurant in the world! The portions are very large at a very affordable price. A must try!“

“The best Mexican food!!! We have been followers of them since their smaller restaurant to their much larger restaurant. it is always packed and shows you whar a favorite they are to all. Their chips are homemade and are absolutely delicious! All servings are HUGE. fajitas and distata are family favorites. Servers are very friendly, and attentive. They deserve 5 stars every time!!!“

“We do not recommend dinning in here as in our experience the service is far from good.. however the food was great! We will definitely order take out in the future but will not be returning to dine in. The server didn’t understand what my husband ordered (even though it was a beef enchilada) so he just put it in as a taco salad. So by the time he recieved the correct meal the rest of our party had already finished eating. The server didn’t ask if anyone would like a refill or another cocktail.“

“My sister has been coming here since she moved back in town and was raving about how good Sonny's "fresh tossed dough" pizza was. Today I got to try it for myself. They are generous with the toppings; loading them to the very edge of the crust. Oh YUM!! I ate the entire personal pizza! Staff was cheerful and the atmosphere felt nostalgic. “Excellent Pizza! Will definitely be going back and trying their other locations. My only issue is we ordered to go and the young lady said 15-20 min. that turned into 40-45m, it was in the afternoon and there were less than 6 people dining so it wasn't busy, but like I said at the beginning, the Pizza is SO over the top of other places that I will wait for it every time!.“

“The place is very loud but that is to be expected because it is a family joint. The service is good but it can be hit or miss. Last visit the server constantly forgot things so we sat waiting for food that did not come when everyone else had their food and then we had to remind the server (they passed by our table multiple times, so we got the impression they forgot). The server also seemed less organized than many of the others. Ordered steak medium rare and it was unevenly cooked with some parts medium rare and others well done. Other people at the table also ordered steak and theirs was done properly, so some inconsistency with food requests. Otherwise, food is always delicious and portions are enormous, especially salad, which is one of my favorite dishes!“

I did down vote the atmosphere a bit because this is the first time I felt like an old lady (I'm 41) because I just could NOT hear our waiter. It wasn't super crowded but I had to keep making the poor lad repeat himself because the background noise was so loud. Overall, I look forward to coming back the next time I venture to Augusta.“

“Oh my god, Applebees. I told the waitress and I’ll say it again: Applebees has NO BUSINESS popping off like they did with my steak tonight. The bourbon one. Are you kidding me?? Is Applebees hiring 5 star chefs these days?? Seriously, top 5 steaks of my life, and I’m picky. That was fresh, too. The mushrooms were amazing, and the potatoes were a perfect compliment. Will absolutely return anytime whatever magician was in the kitchen tonight is on again. Seriously, be proud of yourself, whoever cooked that steak. Also our server was a lovely tall lady, the first host we saw was a nice guy with glasses who was pleasant, and second host was a nice tall young man who was quick and smiley. Thank you.“
