No matter the flavor, the ice cream is amazing. I like some of the more unusual flavors like Coconut Chip and Ginger but the classics are amazing as well.

Delicious ice cream! Worth the stop for sure. Got the coffee flavor and it was delicious. Definitely recommend getting a cup to go along with any cone orders since it does melt fast. Overall wonderful!

The grill is closed for the season. I got ice cream. The ice cream was delicious. The 3 stars is for the grill because I haven't even tried it.

Great ice cream, huge portions. Each time we drove by there was a line to order and pick up, so when we happened by and there weren't a lot of cars we stopped. It's a little bit on the pricey side but the portions are gigantic. A single scoop cone is easily a two scoop cone elsewhere. The coconut chip was delicious coconut ice cream with coconut flakes with flat chocolate flakes/chips. It was outstanding. My traveling companion had mint oreo and it was delicious also with giant chunks of Oreos. Wouldn't hesitate to visit again and try some of the other yummy looking flavors displayed in the window (and change regularly).

I am a long time fan of Dorman's Ice Cream and eagerly awaiting its re-opening every season. But I had a bad experience that I felt should be shared. On Friday August 20, 2021; I stopped in for a scoop of my favorite Mocha Chocolate Chip in a waffle cone. I broke a tooth filing biting into the hard round chocolate chip nuggets used now in this ice cream. These nuggets took the place of the rectangular soft chocolate chips used in years past. I now need a $1,200 crown molding on a tooth that has not needed any work in many years. I hope that Dorman's can return to its old chip formulation and get rid of these small, hard chocolate nuggets so that I can once again enjoy my favorite ice cream from my favorite ice cream stand. Thanks for hearing me out.

Great local ice cream! Stop on your way up or down highway 1. Definitely worth the stop, but get plenty of napkins.

Best ice cream ever. We had the mint chocolate chip which had tons of chips and just the right amount of mint flavor, not too strong and not too mild. We also had the coconut chip. Delicious. Kf we could we would have extended our stay just to have a chance to stop here more often. The only negative was that it does not open until twelve and we could atop in before starting out trip home. The only thing that would be better would be if they shipped the ice cream too.

Fresh homemade ice cream and the line moved pretty quickly. I was hoping they would have their signature grape nut flavor when I stopped by but unfortunately they didn't and when I asked about it the boy at the window looked at me like I was crazy... anyways, the PB sundae was really good and the price is just right.
Ordered two scoops, two flavors on a sugar cone (extra $) - no problem and sent to the pickup window. Was then handed two scoops of one flavor on a cake cone. I told the worker (same one I placed the order with) that I had ordered two different flavors. She said we can't put two different flavors on one cone. I said well you didn't mention that when I placed the order. She looked at me like she could not have cared less. So I asked to change to just one scoop then. She took it back and someone else brought my one scoop cone which was still on a cake cone btw. So I was out $1.50 (one scoop vs two plus no sugar cone) which no one offered to refund me. Will not go back. Staff unfriendly- is it that hard to put two different flavors on a two scoop cone????

I was satisfied with the ice cream here. It certainly wasn't the best that I have had, but it was good. The ice cream was creamy and not overly sweet. It was reasonably priced, too. They don't have a great selection of flavors, especially unique ones, but the standard will do. I would go back if I were in the area longer.

Interesting spot. The icecream portions are huge. And the family serving it are friendly. Lots of people milling around but social distancing is encouraged with clearly marked signs. Will return.

Dorman’s is the real deal—genuine ice cream made in the ship, with many flavors to choose from and ample servings. The grape nut, mocha chip, pistachio and coconut chip are all top shelf and reasonably priced for the quality.
