Our $32 retail (not including shipping) Lobster Pot Pie certainly did have shell... nice and crunchy too! The flavor wasn't all that great either - runny bisque with a few small pieces of lobster. The ramekin was nice though.
You would think for the outrageous high prices Hancock Gourmet Lobster, Co. charges for their products they would ensure no shell. I'm definitely not buying Hancock again. Hancock did offer a 15% discount on a future purchase for the crunchy inconvenience. However that's a trivial discount for a pot pie that's probably only worth $20 in my opinion.

My wife ordered lobster rolls for Father’s Day. She followed the prescribed ordering window for delivery, there ended up being a power outage at a third party shipping location at no fault of Hancock Gourmet Lobster Company. Customer Service at Hancock stepped up and made sure the delivery arrived on time. They delivered a quality product.
Fathers Day lunch ended up being the best, the lobster rolls were incredible, everyone was stuffed. The only thing we were missing was a view of the ocean.

Ordered a special meal for my Dad for Father’s Day. I placed the order well in advance and requested June 16 for a delivery as recommended on the site. Received notification that my box that was shipped on June 14 won’t be delivered until after 7 on June 19. So much for a special dinner for my father.

Ordered the Maine Shore Dinner for 2 from Goldbelly. Goldbelly did a great job delivering. They can't help what's inside.This was for our anniversary dinner. We prepared everything per directions. The little bit of meat in the lobster was decent, the scallops were salvaged by searing them in butter, the shrimp was OK, a little soggy like the corn (couldn't eat...we make corn a lot and usually make it on the BBQ). The mussels were tasteless. As for the chowder, we're big fans of Boston Sail Loft...true chowder (wouldn't be delivered on time so we took a chance...Ooops!). This soup was a poor excuse...thin (runny) a few bits of chopped clam and very bland. No where near what I expect of a chowder. Wasn't worth eating high calorie broth. Other than that, the packaging was great!This was a total miss, based our order on the reviews.

Just ordered this for Thanksgiving. We have not had it for a long time and had a craving for it.The first downfall was the extremely high price for what you get. The 2nd was a to much cream mush that arrived. That was the last time. We will ever order it.

Incredible Lobster Mac & Cheese. We could not believe the amount of tender fresh lobster in this dish. The pasta did not overwhelm the lobster. For special occasions, we will order this again!
