“EDIT:11/1/23:Well, I SERIOUSLY hate to do this, because we have been faithful tto this place since we moved here in 1999... and even before that when they hadA place in Saxonville, MASS!! But... this is the second time in a row we were disappointed in our food. I never mentioned the first time because anyone can have a bad night. Our grinders were VERY DRY and something is just a little "off" very dry, no flavor... just not the same quality we always got before. I hope this isn't a permanent deal.Here is my original excellent rating post... if anyone else that tells you they know how to make "an Italian grinder" they're lying!! THIS lS THE ONLY PLACE IN MAINE WHO DOES!! They start off with an italian crusty sub roll... Add the meats, peppers, onion, and finally, the oil that bring the tastes together for a party in your mouth!! If you "KNOW ITALIAN"... you know that these should be TOASTED. This is where everyone else gets a FAIL!!! You can ask for well-done and it'll be extra crispy!! Now... THAT'S ITALIAN!! The meatball subs/grinders are yummy too! Note to SanfordHouseOfPizza... please go back to your original grinders. Maybe I just didn't get enough oil?? THANK YOU FOR MANY YEARS OF YUMMY MEALS!!!Ok... I love the above... But my recent discovery there has got to be my very favorite... Their CHICKEN PARM AND SPAGHETTI SMOTHERED IN CHEESE SERVED WITH A PlECE OF GARLIC BREAD (or as hubby likes it... Just plain bread).! Now don't let the container fool you; It SEEMS SMALL but let me tell you, l can eat, but l get halfway done (and l am stuffed!) and save the rest for lunch the next day. Who am l kidding... I eat it for BREAKFAST the next day!! Hubby can finish his, but complains about his big gut for 2 days later!! Okay you get the picture.. But wait theres more!! “Best pizza ever but we don't live nearby and since we still can't eat inside, we don't stop. Hate eating pizza in the car. Always stopped when we went to see our parents at the cemetery and loved seeing Michelle everything. Miss it...“

“Everything I've tried from Otto has been just as amazing as described, but it's hard to pull myself away from always getting the squash, ricotta and cranberry pie. They have the most interesting and creative pies and I'm my opinion their dough is absolutely as good as it gets. This is my first choice for pizza most of the time.“

“Absolutely LOVE Alfred County Store! Some of the best pizza and subs around at a very fair price. They also make right any mistakes that inevitably happen when running a business. Last week I had ordered a loaded large steak tip sub (one of the best items on their menu BTW! ??) and they accidentally mad me a steak bomb. I messaged their Facebook page and the owner not only very promptly returned my message, but also gave me a gift card for not only the cost of a loaded steak TIP sub, but a fry as well for the inconvenience! Now THATS customer service! Can't recommend them enough“

“This is one of the last Pizza Huts I have seen that are like the ones of the 80s, 90s. Era. Pizza gets a 4 because it’s Pizza Hut, it’s not personal, it’s for Pizza Hut pizza it’s standard, like most chains, it doesn’t vary by state or anything. If I’m picking a chain pizza, this is my go to right now. Inside is not “dirty” it’s OLD, it has extreme nostalgia and it was fun to be inside. Customer service was ok. They were overwhelmed, there were long lines, but maybe because people are coming with this kids, like I was brought to this chain, in California, for the family atmosphere.“
