“We're doing road construction in the area for the summer and I've recently discovered Tea Maineia. Best iced tea I've had, this beats going to any chain coffee place any day. They have plenty of options for teas, sweeteners, etc and it's fun to look around at what they have in store. The owner is super friendly and welcoming. Check them out, and ask about the scones!”

“If you're looking for delicious cider, this is the place to be! Both Winterport Winery and Penobscot Bay Brewery are located in the same building and share a bar. Inside you'll find a warm, cozy atmosphere. There are a few tables decorated with a collage of wine and beer bottle labels along with a number of chairs. The wooden bar also has seating and there are some sofas off in the corner if you're looking to lounge a bit. Along the walls you'll find displays and shelves with beer cans and bottled wine, all for sale if you find something you enjoy. The flights are very affordable and great for sampling the different beers and ciders. The server was very friendly and made several good recommendations. The beers are on the hoppy side (still good, but not the style I usually go for). The ciders are what won me over. I highly recommend getting a cider flight. On occasion, they will host live music - so keep an eye out on their social media to find out about upcoming events. This is going to be a spot that I bring friends and family when they come up to visit. I highly recommend Winterport Winery and Penobscot Bay Brewery!”

“I first tried Sweet Cheeks about a month ago, I have gone several times a week since that first trip. The place is flat out addictive and for me to say that takes some pretty amazing baked goods. “I would absolutely recommend Smokey’s! We moved here from Texas and this is the closest we could get to good bbq here! My main note is that the Mac and cheese wasn’t hot (temperature wise, it was warm/cool) and I prefer my brisket to have a thicker bark on it but that’s purely personal preference. Everything was delicious!!”

“I've eaten at Bucksport House of Pizza many times over the years, and I have to say Bucksport House of Pizza has consistently had the best food, friendliest staff, and best bang for your buck in the area. I don't live around the area anymore, but anytime I'm in Bangor I make the drive down just to eat here. It's the best, I highly recommend it.”

It’s fresh, you get big portions, and the sushi rolls are literally pieces of art. 💕 They have the most gorgeous across-the-bay view of historical Fort Knox State Park where you can sit & eat at their outdoor tables. Inside the restaurant is clean, cutely-decorated, a little historical jail cell to tour…which came with the building purchase…haha…and they even have free candy and goodies for customers too. “Had my first experience at Orrington Pizza yesterday and it was a great one!! Tried the pizza and I can honestly say it was one of the best I’ve had. The crust around the edge was light and flaky, the sauce was perfect and just the right amount of cheese. The staff working were friendly and professional and the restaurant was spotless. “The food was decent and the portions reasonable. While the flavors were good, nothing really jumped out at me as amazing. This does not mean I wouldn’t recommend it, only that it wasn’t a “wow” meal so much as a safe one.

The waiter was both patient and attentive. He saw to our orders and returned when we were ready. He was neither talkative nor social. There is an art to waiting tables and friendliness just wasn’t in his wheelhouse.

The restaurant was clean and presentable. But like the menu as well the waiter it wasn’t bold. A great place for a big family event.”

“My husband and I have been trying to stop in for months but our schedule just never matched up with the times they were open. we happened to have a late day last week and stopped in on Friday and we each got a drink. I tried the cotton candy energy bomb and added Boba. o.m.g it's my absolute favorite I've been getting it every chance we can stop in! We stopped this last Sunday on our day off and told one of the lovely ladies working that we wish they opened earlier as we get to our store around 530ish and she mentioned the owner would most likely be here by the time we came through at 530am. Sure enough Monday morning the owner was there and welcomed us with open arms for our drinks, thank you for making our day so great! 😁”

“The owners are very down to earth and personable. The food is delicious, homecooked, and so good. The first time we came in,we had breakfast. Everything was fresh and the toast homemade. The second time we had dinner. I had the chili bowl and hubby had the reuben. It was delicious. We just moved here from New York state. Happy we found this unassuming gem.”

“Friendly staff, pizza was doughy and floppy. I personally prefer my pepperoni on top of the cheese for two reasons. I like to get a little char on the edges of the pepperoni, and you are less likely to pull all of the cheese and toppings off when the toppings aren’t all melted together with the cheese. I ended up with a mouthful of cheese and toppings, and left with bread and sauce. Good ingredients though. The dough was flavorful. Good football pizza.

24 hour update** reheating the slices on a pizza steel makes them delicious. Gives it the crisp it’s missing.”

“Ummm... had no idea this was even here. My wife wanted fried chicken last night, and local choices for good bone-in southern fried chicken are limited. Opened up DoorDash figuring we'd just get KFC and Chester's popped up as an option. We got two 3-piece dinners and a couple apple pies. We received, literally, the biggest and juiciest chicken wings and breasts we've ever seen. Well seasoned, crunchy, flavorful breading. The pies were fried like in the days of old, crispy and loaded with cinnamon and spice. I think this is our new local chicken fix!”

“First let me say I love Pepino's Taco Stand and have never been disappointed in the food until yesterday. We ordered take out which is what we normally do. The El Pepino was very small with little chili on it and the chili was very dry. I asked for an order of guacamole dip with no vegetables. The portion was much smaller than usual and it was basically a cup of lettuce and other vegetables with about a tablespoon of guacamole under the vegetables. One bad experience after years of positive ones will not stop us from continuing to eat here but thought you should be aware that you need to double check your quality control.”
