“Never missed a St. Patty's Day Celebration yet. Going on 20 years. On the Historic Registry. Live music on the weekends. Friendly people all around. Every now and then, you'll see the original owner Nancy having a drink with old friends. Great history, great city and sports.

Parking: Now owned by Steven's Family and doing a great job.“

“Me and a few of my friends went there about a week ago. We absolutely loved everything about the place, from the atmosphere which was chill the food, drinks were good. The owner came to us personally and asked if we needed anything? And also helped us pick out cigars. The humidor was really nice too!“

“Biergarten is one of our favorite local places! This year they saved my fiancé’s 30th birthday when another local bar could no longer accommodate us last minute. I called the day before in a panic and the owner called her workers to come in a little early, helped me coordinate everything with food, and just went above and beyond to make sure everything was great. I couldn’t recommend them enough. Great people. Great place.“

“Las Chance has quick become a staple of corktown. Awesome neighborhood bar with karaoke Saturday nights with cheap drink specials like your dad always remembered going to a Tigers game back in the 80s. Absolutely love this spot! I'll be back!“

I played in the empty stage area on the other side of the bar area.... Has it changed in 60 years? “Husband and I drove to Full Moon bar and grill for a beverage and sandwich for dinner, it is 10 min away from our house. Very conveniently located with ample parking. We were cheerfully greeted by a young woman who would also be our waitress, she told us the specials for the day and took our drink order. Husband ordered the Reuben and I had the Steak and cheese sub with fries. Restaurant is very clean and organized and has lots of cool sports memorabilia, nice bar with stools, 5 TV screens, high top tables and several large tables for groups and families. Our food came in a timely fashion piping hot, good size portions and reasonable prices. We both enjoyed our dinner choices and Hub washed his down with 2 IPA beers on tap, yum! “Anybody reading this, my mamaw was the barmaid there beginning in the 60s. Annie Ruth Ladd. They also lived above the bar for some time. My mother told me that she vividly remembers looking out the window and seeing the National guard going down Jefferson into Detroit. At that time, she was 9 years old. My mother grew up to work in the bar. Her name is Roseann or Rosie. I spent lots of my youth there, playing quarter machines. Rosie Also worked Square Deal. “It's an okay spot at best, but only because the staff is great.. except the security dudes. All of the security fellas look and speak as if they are mad about something. Maybe it's their job to look hard??? IDK If you're okay with cigar and weed smoke, you'll probably enjoy Soul on Ice. During warm weather days the patio is only for smokers because you cannot escape the smoke no matter what. Do not expect to lounge outside if you're not a smoker of "something". The stinch of smoke gets indoors too because people are smoking at both doors, or they are standing with one foot in and the other out. There's a few ghetto people that go there, but, that's pretty much expected in Detroit, so there's no running from that type. At least Soil on Ice don't water down their drinks, or replace top shelf with cheap stuff like TV is very well known to do. 4.5 stars out of 5 for the DJs, food, and drinks, but the mean-faced security staff and cigars and weed all over the place brings the rating down to 1.0001. Yes, 1.0001 stars! We're rooting for Soul on Ice to continue on for many years, but my wife and I will likely not return unless we have absolutely nothing else to do, or they rearrange the whole smoking setup. Non-smokers want to party indoors and out too! I'm done with this review. I'm off to put my clothes through five cycles of hot water washing using Tide Super Duty Scent Destroyer Extra.“

“Our usual server, Erin, makes this place our go to for family dinners. The food has been AMAZING since the new ownership, but Erin’s service has made Sports a standout for our family. She is quick to attend to our needs, and she’s always extra kind and attentive to our son and our dog (when the patio is open). But seriously, if you come to this bar, seriously, just give Star your money and she will give you a great drink. She's also super nice so no need to be uptight at this bar, you'll be okay! This bar, great place, there's a party that's going to be at this bar tomorrow, if you're going to come to this bar, seriously, just go to Star, she'll give you a good drink seriously.. “A lot of free surrounding convenient parking. This place reminds me of a smaller St. Andrews Hall. The security was on point. The prices weren't too crazy at the bar. I love that they give you ice water instead of purified water in a bottle. You can get pretty close up to the stage, and I loved that they had a handicap area to sit in as my sciatica was acting up. Will most definitely be back.“

“Mexican bar, not too bad. It seemed hard to find at first on foot, but we heard the music and eventually we saw the side door entrance. We went about 11p on a Monday. It was a little dead, but the bartender lady was nice. They had pool tables, in which I would have played, but "he" I was with wasn't interested. I believe they also had a dance floor. There was like 2 groups of people inside, 3 including us at the time.“
