“This is a good place for drinks and a quick bite.. maybe just an appetizer. I had the chicken wrap which was pretty flavorless. But my drink was good and I liked the atmosphere. My son liked his chicken tenders. The regular and the seasoned fries were good. I'd go back but probably would just order an appetizer next time or just go for drinks. I also think the menu items are somewhat overpriced. Everything was $14.94 and up.“

“Before we moved away in 1972 (when I was 10) This was my father's bar.... Where everybody KNEW HIS NAME.... and I often was with him and everybody knew MY NAME, and bought me Shirley Temples.... I played in the empty stage area on the other side of the bar area.... Has it changed in 60 years? Because I would love to see it if it has NOT.... but I looked up this place because of beloved memories, so I wanted to share. Thank you.“

“First time in Detroit. Wonderful place. Low key. Nice vibe. Drinks were delicious and well-balanced. I personally liked the Milkmaid Dress. Rachel took great care of us considering the place was busy and she was the only bartender. She had awesome demeanor very sweet, huge smile on her face and kind personality even under the stress of a busy bar. Overall great experience.“

“Every single food item my group got we loved. I got pierogies, and Philly with truffle tots. First off whoever thought of truffle tots should win an award. The truffle, herbs, and cheese get in the crispy crevices which makes it so tasty! My friends got pretzels and burgers... all great! $4 craft drafts on Thurs with music bingo was nice! If I ever drive 45 minutes to Wyandotte again, I'll hit this place up.“

“It's an okay spot at best, but only because the staff is great.. except the security dudes. All of the security fellas look and speak as if they are mad about something. Maybe it's their job to look hard??? IDK If you're okay with cigar and weed smoke, you'll probably enjoy Soul on Ice. During warm weather days the patio is only for smokers because you cannot escape the smoke no matter what. Do not expect to lounge outside if you're not a smoker of "something". The stinch of smoke gets indoors too because people are smoking at both doors, or they are standing with one foot in and the other out. There's a few ghetto people that go there, but, that's pretty much expected in Detroit, so there's no running from that type. At least Soil on Ice don't water down their drinks, or replace top shelf with cheap stuff like TV is very well known to do. 4.5 stars out of 5 for the DJs, food, and drinks, but the mean-faced security staff and cigars and weed all over the place brings the rating down to 1.0001. Yes, 1.0001 stars! We're rooting for Soul on Ice to continue on for many years, but my wife and I will likely not return unless we have absolutely nothing else to do, or they rearrange the whole smoking setup. Non-smokers want to party indoors and out too! I'm done with this review. I'm off to put my clothes through five cycles of hot water washing using Tide Super Duty Scent Destroyer Extra.“

“I was in Detroit for a business trip, and looking for a place to relax en femme (my thing). Other CDs advised me to go to Adam's Apple. For a gurl, it is the best place EVER! I was there two nights, and could not believe the number of gurls there, men also (not enough or too shy to my taste, but that is another story). You go to such bars for the people, not the place, and it checked all the boxes!“

“Biergarten is one of our favorite local places! This year they saved my fiancé’s 30th birthday when another local bar could no longer accommodate us last minute. I called the day before in a panic and the owner called her workers to come in a little early, helped me coordinate everything with food, and just went above and beyond to make sure everything was great. “This is a Moose Club that has genuinely nice people! The moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with a super friendly, smiling hello from everyone! They had a taco special tonight where you could get hard or soft shell tacos, or, to entice you more, they also did a loaded taco tots. It was a nice size order of tots, and they didn't skimp on the meat or the toppings. The nice price was only $6!!! I had a mixed drink and the taco tots and was very full! My total bill was $8.75. I haven't had a dinner and a drink for that price in a VERY LONG TIME! I recommend you join the Moose Club in whatever town you live in that has a local Moose. Not only for the great food that is priced right, but also for the many friends you will make when you visit any Moose Club that you find on vacation, or just passing through.“

“Ohhh, this bar is awesome!!! The bartender, star, she's incredible! Make sure that you tip her good! Super nice and polite, she was very understanding when I told her about the guy who took my drink, lol. I had a fun time playing chess, talking shit, I wish that there was food, this is the only thing, but even without food, the bar was fantastic, I don't know, maybe there was food and I was too drunk, I don't know. Fun bar, great time. If you're going to come here, don't be too serious.. You will have a fun time, I promise you. Everyone there is polite. But seriously, if you come to this bar, seriously, just give Star your money and she will give you a great drink. She's also super nice so no need to be uptight at this bar, you'll be okay! This bar, great place, there's a party that's going to be at this bar tomorrow, if you're going to come to this bar, seriously, just go to Star, she'll give you a good drink seriously.. I'm definitely coming back to this bar!!! There's not enough good things to say about it, but this is a good place to party, tomorrow!!! Very good!! Thanks!!! P.S. about the food, I don't know if they had any, they may actually have food there, but I didn't know what they had, I got a drink, but tomorrow, I'll see if they have food, and I'll probably forget to even update this review. “Anybody reading this, my mamaw was the barmaid there beginning in the 60s. Annie Ruth Ladd. They also lived above the bar for some time. My mother told me that she vividly remembers looking out the window and seeing the National guard going down Jefferson into Detroit. At that time, she was 9 years old. My mother grew up to work in the bar. Her name is Roseann or Rosie. I spent lots of my youth there, playing quarter machines. Rosie Also worked Square Deal. Y'all probably knew my papaw too his name was Jim Ray Boatwright and he was known in River Rouge as being one of the Town drunks lol God rest his soulCan't wait to stop in and reminisce!Also, if anybody knew my family or can share stories, please let me know. “A lot of free surrounding convenient parking. This place reminds me of a smaller St. Andrews Hall. The security was on point. The prices weren't too crazy at the bar. I love that they give you ice water instead of purified water in a bottle. You can get pretty close up to the stage, and I loved that they had a handicap area to sit in as my sciatica was acting up. Will most definitely be back.“

“Mexican bar, not too bad. It seemed hard to find at first on foot, but we heard the music and eventually we saw the side door entrance. We went about 11p on a Monday. It was a little dead, but the bartender lady was nice. They had pool tables, in which I would have played, but "he" I was with wasn't interested. I believe they also had a dance floor. There was like 2 groups of people inside, 3 including us at the time.“
