My mother told me that she vividly remembers looking out the window and seeing the National guard going down Jefferson into Detroit. At that time, she was 9 years old. My mother grew up to work in the bar. Her name is Roseann or Rosie. I spent lots of my youth there, playing quarter machines. Rosie Also worked Square Deal. “So I've been here many times and it's had different names over the years, but it's a little smooth spot, never any drama. The game changer and what got the 5 star rating is the food and drinks! The top shelf long Island I had was so good and the perfect size and the food was 10/10 expensive but worth the money. Good quality and fresh.“
“I Love this bar it is a great bar it just recently opened up again I'm excited for every weekend. Open mic on Fridays there's also stand-up comedy the bar is really coming together everybody should come down and have a great time with us. I consider myself as family with the bar because I live right next door and I'm there all the time and they're very kind and courteous to their customers. And it's a place of dancing pool games old school jukebox and great times..... Stay tuned more is coming“
“I've only been to the Light House a couple of times. Each time, it has been okay. The place seems a little rough around the edges but the place does have a cool theme. They may have remodeled within the past few years or so.Keep in mind, the place is cigarette friendly and there is no food. The bathrooms are a little rundown as well. Despite that, there is a nice picture of all of the light houses on Erie located in the restroom.There is a room to right with a couple of pool tables. I've heard that the pool tables aren't that nice but I know since I didn't actually play.Overall, I was somewhat impressed with this bar. Nothing fancy but not a rundown hole in the wall like some may conclude based on where it's located.“

“The shrimp Alfredo was delicious.But on my bill they charged me gratuity, "service fee", and "other fee". Three different taxes....I had a hard time getting a waitress help at first but another waitress came and helped me. But it took 15-20 mins to get my drink.“

“My friends and I decided there’s no better way to spend St. Paddy's day weekend in downtown Detroit than a ride on the pedal bike. We were so right and had the best time! Omar was our driver and he was great! He had some fun drinking games for us to play on our ride and overall brought an awesome energy to the experience. He was also our photographer at all our stops!“
“Typically I pop in for a few drinks and never order food, it was noticed by management. Surprised I never order food they were dedicated to get me to try the food so they gave me a meal to try!! “I came in here a few months ago right when the new owners took over. I feel as if they did a good job modernizing the place.There is a spot to play pool and you can also chill and sit outside on the patioI don't know if they serve food at this point or if they plan on serving food in the future.The atmosphere of this place is a lot more vibrant with colorful lights and better seating, that is compared to how Dabrewski's was a few years back when I visited.The prices of the drinks are not too expensive either.Overal, this place is modern and the prices are decent.“
