“Anybody reading this, my mamaw was the barmaid there beginning in the 60s. Annie Ruth Ladd. They also lived above the bar for some time. My mother told me that she vividly remembers looking out the window and seeing the National guard going down Jefferson into Detroit. At that time, she was 9 years old. My mother grew up to work in the bar. Her name is Roseann or Rosie. I spent lots of my youth there, playing quarter machines. Rosie Also worked Square Deal. Y'all probably knew my papaw too his name was Jim Ray Boatwright and he was known in River Rouge as being one of the Town drunks lol God rest his soulCan't wait to stop in and reminisce!Also, if anybody knew my family or can share stories, please let me know. Open mic on Fridays there's also stand-up comedy the bar is really coming together everybody should come down and have a great time with us. “Everything was good. It was our first time there.. I don’t appreciate the fact that they write in the tip without telling you .I had to go back because I double tipped and nobody said anything . They let me do it without saying a word.. they should tell you that they’re adding the tip in before you pay the bill. I didn’t realize what I did until I got to my car. I had to go back and straighten it out at the restaurant. I have four kids under the age of five. It wasn’t easy for me to do this. When you’re at the table with four kids and you’re trying to pay the bill, you don’t have time to look at it to see that the tip was added in. I gave the Service five stars because I think it was good Service. I just don’t like the idea of that she knew that all this was going on ,and didn’t remind me they had already put the 20% in .“

“My cousin wed their beautiful bride last night and their original post wedding brunch location fell through at the last minute. Groups of us came through right as Supergeil opened. “We had an amazing experiance at Stadt Garten which we visited on a whim after seeing a show at the Masonic temple. The host, Michael, was very knowledgeable and friendly, and willing to give us a recommendation and let us try several wines before choosing one to drink by the glass. The selection was unique and made me want to return. It wasn’t too busy, but had the feeling that if you knew about this place, you would return on a regular basis.“

“This is a bar with an arcade, so bring your ID if you look young to show security. Arcade games are run on tokens. Mostly older video games and pinball arcade games. They run from one to three tokens. I arrived at 5pm so happy hour was going on. It was a 2-dollar discount for the drinks. The bartenders were friendly and helpful. The vibe was nice and left happy. The parking across the business is for residential parking only. The signage is confusing, so don't park there and you won't get stuck with a $45 parking violation ticket.“

“Its a bar. Usually when I pull up its techno/electro. They usually have a dope lineup especially if Shawscape is on the lineup. It be packed out and they also have a outside area attached. Every now and then its a food truck or they have food on the outside. Decent size bar and selection also. Water is $5 drinks usually 15+“

“We decided to try a new spot before dinner near by. Was pleasantly surprised on how centered and awesome this place is.
Very basic and that’s what makes it great. Old school photos and just a small black & white tv playing old video tapes.
No draft beers. Just a few selections and some custom drinks to choose from. The best deal is the beer & shot for $7.
People were personable and I’d easily come back.“

“There's a thing about eastern market. It's alive during the day during market hours and then, it gets quiet. Pocket change was exactly what we were looking for to keep the vibes going! Just on the outskirts of downtown in eastern market. This little high end dive bar keeps dancing. Weekend DJ's and one of the only rooftop bars in the area. The incredible ambiance on the second floor feels like a hidden oasis of what seems to be the biggest spin and twirl of eastern market. I went with a few friends to celebrate a birthday to only feel like we were dancing the night away with the locals of the community. Great cocktails, incredible bar staff.. just ask for a spagett, and you'll feel like one of the locals!

They throw pop ups with surrounding vendors and if you need a late night snack the down stairs has some inedible tasty bites.“

“First time we stopped in they were closed for a wedding until 630. Went back after 630 and were able to get right in. Its mostly standing room only if you dont have a reservation. But that does come with a small table. Views were amazing and the service was awesome! Got the Cana de Carba and it was almost the best thing ive ever eaten! Will return with a reservation so I can sit down tho!“
