“I've been here several times as a guest and always enjoyed it and loved all the tradition this organization has. Everyone is friendly and the entertainment is always top notch. I love the beautiful waterfront view here at the point where the Detroit River opens into Lake Erie. This club is connected to an island that is connected to an island that is connected to an island. Go figure!“

“Before we moved away in 1972 (when I was 10) This was my father's bar.... Where everybody KNEW HIS NAME.... and I often was with him and everybody knew MY NAME, and bought me Shirley Temples.... I played in the empty stage area on the other side of the bar area.... Has it changed in 60 years? “We dined in a couple days ago for the first time. The food was absolutely amazing! I tried the Yum Yum burger and my husband ordered the Reuben. Our waitress was very nice. However I felt bad for her. It looked like only her and one other server were waiting on all tables which were full. We rarely saw her and our drinks were never refilled. We were there an hour and a half, 25 minutes of that was simply waiting for the check. It is a great place! But maybe plan to be there a while if you do go.“

“Such a cool venue! The acoustics were amazing and I never felt crowded and always had a great view. They also had upper level, wasn’t open when I went (the show probably wasn’t sold out) but that’s a super cool option for sold out shows. Bonus, the beer / alcohol prices are the same as going to a bar which is a huge plus. I wish I lived a bit closer to check out more shows here.“

“BEST FOOD Ever for Downriver's Best Brewery. Outstanding selection of Brews!! Ate there constantly since they opened in Nov 2019. Food is DEEEEELICIOUS! 3 Awesome Brewers/Owners, 5 Outstanding Waitresses, and 2 Superb Cooks. Their constant smiles are catchy for all to view!! “Anybody reading this, my mamaw was the barmaid there beginning in the 60s. Annie Ruth Ladd. They also lived above the bar for some time. My mother told me that she vividly remembers looking out the window and seeing the National guard going down Jefferson into Detroit. At that time, she was 9 years old. My mother grew up to work in the bar. Her name is Roseann or Rosie. I spent lots of my youth there, playing quarter machines. Rosie Also worked Square Deal. Y'all probably knew my papaw too his name was Jim Ray Boatwright and he was known in River Rouge as being one of the Town drunks lol God rest his soulCan't wait to stop in and reminisce!Also, if anybody knew my family or can share stories, please let me know. “The only reason I’m giving a good review is because the bartender. Thank you for Amanda for the great service. I’ve always loved this bar but the clientele is biggest problem. There’s a big guy in orange clothes that smells so bad you want to throw up. I’m not sure why he’s allowed in.“

“I've been going to this place to watch the Wings win since the 1990s, but have since moved to Alaska. But everytime I come home, I'm still drawn to this place like a moth to a flame. It's changed over the years, but they still keep high quality beers in tap and in the bottle.
They removed the TV from the men's room, which needs to be out back so a guy doesn't miss a goal while having a piss. Its only fair, right?“

“This is our 2nd time here and we love it! We've been on a slow Sunday, and a busy Thursday evening. Two different experiences for sure, but each time the server was super personable and food was amazing.
The pizza is SO good! I'm from the east coast and it reminds me of pizza I had growing up...made by Italians! You can tell whoever created the menu loves food. The combinations of tastes in each dish are so satisfying and different from a lot of other places around. We definitely plan on returning a bunch!“

Open mic on Fridays there's also stand-up comedy the bar is really coming together everybody should come down and have a great time with us. I consider myself as family with the bar because I live right next door and I'm there all the time and they're very kind and courteous to their customers. “First time trying Frank’s. My wife looked up places to try for good walleye and it came up so figured, why not? A little frustrating trying to find it initially, but we’re glad we did! Food was excellent. My wife had the walleye and said that it was one of the best she’s had in a long time. I had the catfish and loved it. Breading wasn’t heavy so you could taste the fish and the hush puppies were devoured quickly they were that good. All in all highly recommend and we’ll be back!“
