“The food here is always fantastic! I love that the menu changes seasonally, the quirky, cool specials, and the cocktails. They make the best Old Fashioned in town and have a decent wine and beer menu. The chicken Marsala and seafood mac and cheese are personal favorites but the whole menu is terrific. Great atmosphere with attentive service…you can’t go wrong here”

“Maplewood is an incredible secret that has live music, amazing owners, staff and delicious drinks. You will be hard pressed to find a better place that consistently puts out the caliber of musicians that Maplewood Tavern does. They are fourth generation owners and have been in business for 100 years!”

We did have some chips with a local salsa which was a good snack. Food truck there was doing a lot of pizza and it looked good.

“Best pizza! Worst Salads! The salads are made up mostly of the ribs of lettuce. I'm guessing they use the good part of the lettuce for their grinders and such, and use the scrap ribs for salad. I've tried their salads numerous times thinking each time that I just happen to get a bad one the last time, but it never gets better. I'll order pizza, but no more salads.”

“My husband and I have been to the Hide A Way several times. We often take visitors from downstate as we know the food is always good. Our go to order is the fish but I had a pizza the last time we were there and it was delicious! The staff are really nice and the of course - the beer is cold.”

“I get either hot or frozen Butterbears when I go there. The only complaint I have is that there is no inside to the one I access most. I live in michigan, so it's cold. I walk everywhere, so I have to both walk and wait in that cold.”

“Went and tried the new qube style quiznos in Alpena. Food was good, service was amazing. Only complaint, is wish it wasnt a limited menu but will still go back. Hard to rate the atmosphere due to being only drive thru or walk up.”

“We had breakfast here and it was great! Our server Cherie was awesome. The cold brew coffee is top notch. Got to try some new stuff and the crispy hash browns were much better than what you get everywhere else. Love lunch and dinner and the atmosphere right on the lake. Highly recommend any meal of the day here.”

“I am from downstate and I think this is the best Starbucks I’ve ever been to. And I’ve been going to them for years. I ordered a Venti mocha hot and it was perfect. Just the right amount of chocolate and no whipped cream just as I requested. The young lady that waited on me was very kind with a very big smile. This is the second time that I’ve been to the Starbucks and both experiences I would rate five.
I cannot say anything about the atmosphere because I was in the drive-through window both times.”

“Love the food nd the service is always great. You have a bell to ring inside to say the food nd service was good. How about some kind of bell outside by the drive thru so people can ring that? I've suggested it at other Arby's downstate Michigan and they thought it was a good idea. I go thru the drive thru more than I go in nd would ring the bell every time! 😃”
