“I have eaten at many Chinese restaurants all over the country and Hunan's is by far my favourite. I have tried all of the other Chinese restaurants in Alpena and I have been disappointed over and over again. I no longer go anywhere else. I don't eat out very often but if I am in the mood for Chinese Hunans' is my go to. I especially like the Hunan Chicken, extra spicy with fried rice. I prefer to order the dinner because of the larger portions. I usually get take out so I choose the Russian soup with the meal. The owner Jimmy is always professional and courteous. I don't know what his secret is but he has got me hooked. The environment is always clean and the restaurant does not smell like fish as other Chinese restaurants that I have visited unfortunately have smelled like fish, and not just a little bit. Surprisingly when I eat in the restaurant or pick up some takeout the place is not very busy which is crazy to me. I have a theory that at least one in four Americans is an absolute moron. Really the percentage is probably more. I also see pretty busy parking lots at other Chinese restaurants in town which I do not understand. This confirms my theory that most people walking around this country are a product of the piss poor education system in this country. In reality the ratio of ignorant people in this country is more like two in four. I have been eating at Jimmy's since he was located on the lake next to KFC. The food has not changed a bit, it is always good and if you like it less spicy or extra spicy they do a good job of preparing the meal appropriately.“
“The food was excellent. The waitress was just as good. I had the Szechuan shrimp and it was excellent. The portions were large and I had to take home my dinner left overs in a carryout container. This is one left over dinner that I will actually eat ?“
