Food was great as always. Been going here for years. Breakfast or dinner, you can't go wrong! Small wait to get a table but it didn't take long. Sad that they had to reduce their hours and not be 24 hours a day anymore but understand why.
I'm a little mad at myself I've been going up to Alpena Michigan for 50 years of my life and I have never stepped foot into John boys. It's not that I avoided it it was because most of the time my family made breakfast for me but as my family is grown smaller and things change I expand my horizons. I had to go into town to do some running around in the morning so decided to go to John Boy's for breakfast since I'd never been there. What a nice little place...
Your typical small town diner! Everyone was so friendly.
Don't make my mistake and make sure you get their fresh bread!!! My husband got it and gave me a bite, and I regretted not getting my own! It was amazing.
