“The best place to grab a drink downtown if you want to enjoy the time with your company, or if you want to spend time alone. The vibes are off the chart. No loud music, just great cocktails, beer, and service. Mark (the owner) is kind and inviting and the one bartender Ella matches his energy. This is the perfect third space (albeit the drinks aren't free).“

“Good place to eat and get a beer. Anthony was our server and did a good job. My artichoke dip came out without the dip but Anthony quickly fixed it. And it was really good. The girl at the door seating everyone seemed really odd. I told her we needed two seats. She grabbed the menues and silverware. We followed her to our table. She put the items on the table and left without saying a single word to us. I usually expect them to say follow me or tell me who will be our server. She didn’t say a word. Seemed mad. But it is a beer and burger place. Maybe I expect too much of people.“

“HopCat in Ann Arbor delivers a fantastic dining experience with both flair and flavor. From the moment you walk in, the décor stands out— unique trendy, and artistically inspired without feeling overdone. It sets a lively, creative tone that fits perfectly in a college town. The food does not disappoint. I ordered the Hangover Helper (sunrise-style cheeseburger), and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked, hearty, and incredibly satisfying. The runny egg, melty cheese, and seasoned beef patty all came together in a flavor-packed bite that truly hits the spot. The Lobster Mac was another standout. Creamy, rich, and filled with tender lobster, it was indulgent without being overwhelming. Every bite felt like comfort food elevated with a touch of elegance. Overall, HopCat is a great spot for anyone looking for a bold, flavorful meal in a vibrant setting. Highly recommended!“
