I was craving a wood-fired pizza and decided to give this place a try. I was surprised by how busy it was on a Monday evening, but I was able to sit at the bar immediately. The bartender was nice and diligent. The margarita pizza, though, was terrible. Slightly undercooked. The sauce was too soupy. I would pick up a slice and everything would slide off. I didn't like the taste of the sauce. The crust was too chewy. Hardly any crunchy or charred parts. Anyway, the ambience...
Apps were incredible. Patio seating was lovely. Hosts and servers were accommodating for our large group. The pizza was quite good, some of the red pizza options were a bit soggy, but good flavor on the red sauce and an excellent char on the crust. Would have preferred a bit chewier and more glutenous crumb (especially for sourdough pizza) but nothing to complain about. It was my first time here and they were super busy an hour before close. But my server was fantastic and welcoming and handling all his tables well. The food and gelato were amazing and so it the atmosphere! Will definitely be back.
