It was my first time visiting Ann Arbor, and I found this restaurant and absolutely loved the food. The place is very pleasant, and the staff are all so nice and welcoming. I went twice for lunch and once for dinner. My favorite dishes were the Turkish eggs and the lamb chops à la Turque—both were amazing. I always travel with my dog, and they have a pet-friendly space, which I really appreciated. I would definitely come back the next time I’m in Ann Arbor.
Warm Olive appetizer was cold and needed to be sent back. Chicken meal was very dry. Spaghetti dinner had very little marinara sauce and there was standing water at the bottom of the bowl. Pasta was cooked well but wet. Very disappointing. Food quality has gotten worse over time. Not likely to return.
Café Zola is easily one of the best restaurants in Ann Arbor, with exquisite food and excellent service. Everything we ate was delicious and the attention was outstanding. The fish was perfectly prepared. The lamb was tender and flavorful. Everything from the olives and the bread board to the dessert was tasty. Highly recommended!
