They are regionally famous for their soups, ala Jerry Seinfeld. And they are only open for 2 hours per day.People start to line up an hour before opening to get their lobster bisque before it sells out, as well as their other soups that change daily. Beer cheese soup is my second favorite.Take out only.Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian soups available daily

This is the only place in the world that has made me crave soup. They always have new soups and the classics are amazing too! Thursdays being pretzel day would make me sprint through a field of Legos barefoot. Love this place. Love the people.

I’ve lived in Ann Arbor my entire life and made the mistake of never visiting Le Dog. Tried it for the first time this week and I have gone back every day for more soup! Absolutely delicious, it a great soup counter and a great lunch every time.

I'm happy eating here any day of the week. Everyone who works here is kind! Only downside is when I don't remember to go before the close.

Meh. Was ok. If you want a quick three dollar hotdog (beef/pork) type. Not winning any awards. Good for a snack

Ordered the lobster bisque since they only have it on Thursdays and Fridays, it was really good. They also give you bread that was nice and soft. The only bad part is there's no where to sit, so you'll either need to take it to your car or find somewhere outside (that's not owned by another restaurant).

Cool lunch shop located in a mall on Main St! I have been living in the Ann Arbor area for my whole life and can’t believe I’ve never been here before as I’m a huge fan of soup. We tried the Chicken Tortilla and Stuffed Pepper soups and a polish sausage. Both were really good, but I liked the Stuffed Pepper best (though I’m not usually a fan of cheesy soups)! The Stuffed Pepper was loaded with meat and veggies. I wasn’t a huge fan of the bread, it was pretty tough, so I’ll probably skip that next time. We topped the polish sausage with relish, kraut, ketchup, and mustard - simple and tasty! The line was short, the staff was kind, our order was ready quick, and everything was packaged well! We got it for take out, but curious if there is anywhere to sit down and eat - will ask the staff next time we visit.

An Ann Arbor staple. Thursday and Friday they have lobster bisque as a special. Chicken tortilla is a classic. Also try their rotating soups especially their vegetarian and vegan soups. If you're a carnivore you might be surprised by them.

Yes, this little corner stand inside of a shopping center is Le Dog/La Soup. Do you go for le dog? Non, mon ami, you go for la soup. "La soup?" You might ask, incredulously. Mais oui, says anyone in the know. It's good soup. You can (and should, if you are able) get a hunk of crusty-fluffy Zingerman's bread to go with it. It's also very affordable. And if you are very, very clever, you will go on a Thursday or a Friday and get the lobster bisque. Which is delicious.
