Had a decent breakfast platter here before a recent day of golf with friends. Others in my group had breakfast sandwiches that also looked good.It was a typical eggs, meat, potatoes and toast kind plate and it was all cooked to my liking and doneness.
Gull Lake is hurting for great restaurants, and Charles and Darl's is a just good one, but still a great place to go whether you're a golfer or not. The waitstaff are friendly, and are attentive to customers needs including kids. It handles sandwiches and burgers well, with great sides, but don't expect too much from the BBQ. It's fine, but I had the pulled pork, and it was served microwaved in a black plastic bowl - not particularly smokey either.

It's a golf course bar and grill. The atmosphere is more bar like with loud golfers that have been out all day. The waitress wasn't very friendly or helpful. The food was just okay. Not much flavor. We ordered fried mushrooms, and they were still frozen, sent back, and they came out frozen again. Stuff was also missing from our order, and our waitress seemed annoyed when it was pointed out.
