Short’s Beer Garden Bar • $$

“I've been to Short's several times, but there was always a decent wait to get seated. Most of the time, we tucked our tails and went to another place in Bellaire or just got our food to go. Every time, we at least got a beer in the bar area adjoining the restaurant. The wait is real, but last night we waited it out and it was most definitely worth it. If a restaurant (and brew pub!) is that busy everytime you go then you know they're doing a lot of things right. The beer is arguably the best in a crowded scene of fantastic Michigan-based craft breweries. Endless selection of regular and seasonal beers and ciders... but the food is just as good. We got the Falling Out pizza and it might just be one of the best - if not the best - pizza I've ever had. Insanely tasty with pulled pork, bacon mixed in with BBQ sauce, jalapenos and maple sriracha. It has pineapple too. Don't let that bother you. The mix of heat, meat and sweet with the beer infused pizza crust will have me coming back for more the next time we bolt up to Schuss.“

“Good Food and Great Beer selection!! I had a personal pizza 12", all of the ingredients were fresh and tasty. The crust was thin and not over done, a hard thing to accomplish with a thin crust. Great job !! Keep up the Great Work !!“
