Zalman's exceeded expectations. The food is outstanding — beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and presented with real care. This is not hotel restaurant food. This is a dining experience worth seeking out entirely on its own merits.

Zalman's On Woodward offers a mix of experiences in a comfy atmosphere. The Reuben lacked Russian dressing, and the waffle fries were unevenly seasoned, while the omelette was served without butter or jam. However, the corned beef sandwich is described as perfection, and the French Toast is said to be the best ever. The fried chicken and biscuits are noted as to die for, and the meatloaf is exceptional. To-go orders are recognized for their beautiful presentation, and breakfast options include solid meals like the Sy Ginsberg Corn Beef Hash. The service is highlighted as excellent, with attentive, fast, and friendly staff. A manager is noted for being very friendly and accommodating, ensuring customers have a pleasant dining experience. Despite some reservation confusion, servers quickly set up guests. The restaurant is part of the Kingsley Hotel, and while it may be a bit pricey, it remains a favorite spot for many diners who appreciate good food and the overall dining experience.
