Getting a sandwich here is always a nice treat. Lots of options to choose from when it comes to the choice of bagel and even the cream cheese. I had the BLT this time; the lettuce and tomato balances out the saltiness of the crispy bacon.
I got an Asiago bagel with barely any cheese on it and what cheese was on it was burnt. I worked at Big Apple before and I know this is not how the bagel should have been served to a customer. As expensive as this sandwich is and I don't even get the cheese that is suppose to be on it, I am not happy. Big Apple on Kalamazoo Ave SE in Grand Rapids needs to fix this. Not acceptable.
I love getting fresh bagels when I can. My husband went to grab bagels for us and learned of a new fee for slicing bagels. We were just there last month and wasn’t charged this.
I think it’s ridiculous to charge .20 cent per bagel to slice it. And on top of that, the lady didn’t even slice them correctly. I don’t expect them to be perfect. I also don’t expect one slice to be almost a thin bagel and the other almost the same size as before slicing.
