Was on a 3 year mission to find the BEST PASTY in the U.P.. It usually only takes one bit to know & I was Blown Away 3 letters W.O.W. they make a UP Pasty that take Top 3 in my 50 years of Pasties from throughout the UP.
The pasties are good, especially the crust. Downside is no gravy. The soup of the day was good each time we ordered. Ask about any bread or pastries that did not make the cut for sale that morning. They will be greatly discounted or free. These enterprise is run by family. It is very popular with the locals. The staff is cheerful and helpful.
Been all over da UP and this is probably the best pasty I've ever had. The ratio of all the ingredients was just right. The meat was so fresh and tender, it paired excellently with the sliced potatoes. If this was the only thing I could eat for the rest of my life I would be satisfied.
Service was great and I was out the door in less than 3 minutes. Hot fresh pasties ready to be gobbled.
