“I normally frequent the brownstone location. however in my work travels sometimes I stop by the 14 n Woodward location. today I got a bowl and had a few problems. 1 the lid wasn't on all the way so now got food all over my clothes and inside my vehicle. also the pieces of meat were big and not sliced up. How tf is someone supposed to eat that with a plastic fork ? it would of took 30 seconds to slice that up for a bowl, instead it was left whole. normally the food is great, but today was not good.”

“What an outstanding experience! The atmosphere and service is great and the food and cocktails, wonderful. We enjoyed the burrata appetizer, short rib and rigatoni (which is prepared with beef tips and a rich cream sauce instead of the more traditional bolognese sauce) entrees. Absolutely delicious and highly recommended.”

“Hands down the best corned beef and coleslaw sandwich ever! I have been getting the #6 for years, it’s amazing every time. The only complaint I ever had was that it was too big, I could never finish it! I did notice that they now offer 1/2 a sandwich, I’ll definitely be going that route next time. I recommend Siegels to everyone looking for a good sandwich, they’re simply the best. Pictured below is the #6 Soni.”

“The Lakes catered a bridal shower for us today. The food was fantastic and everyone enjoyed it. We had the Michigan Salad, Firecracker Pasta w/Chicken and Salmon w/Citrus Cream Sauce. The entire experience was outstanding. I've dined in before with my family multiple times and the food has always been delicious. I would highly recommend The Lakes.”

“Many moons ago, my wife worked at a Quiznos. On top of that, we both ate at Quiznos a couple of times per week because we were addicted.

Unfortunately, all of the stores in our area (Grand Rapids) closed down.

We were lucky enough to find this location on the way to Detroit, and stopped in on the way to and the way home from Detroit.

The owners are super friendly, the food was as good as I can remember, and we will definitely be back any time we head to the east side of MI.

“Best pizza in Michigan. They lost my favorite bartender or she quit, oh well doesn’t stop us from coming. The noise can be a bit overwhelming and the service is very good, but the service staff have never asked me if I was a mug club member or if my name was in the system (if you reach 200 points you get $10 off) and for the amount of money that we have spent in there, we would’ve had $1000 off by now. I didn’t know this secret until recently. The beer is better than average 6.5/10. Their prices just went up this past week. We would always get the pepperoni pizza for $19, now if you order the pepperoni pizza, you can choose two other toppings for $21. I don’t want the other two toppings I just want pepperoni so that’s a bummer that it cost two more bucks for that. It’s a nice spot.”

“We love Frozone! Flavors are delicious. The owners are so great. Super friendly and funny. This is the only ice cream store we like going to. Once you have their Gelato, no other ice cream compares. Favorite flavors: lemon basil, crème brûlée, pistachio, cafe barista. But honestly we have loved every flavor we have tried from there. Thank you for being so wonderful!”

“Great place for coffee and treats, lots of seating available to hang out and enjoy your treats as well. Great for a date or hanging out with friends as the atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxed. Service was excellent and all the different options and questions about allergens were answered pleasantly and quickly. Highly recommend stopping by and treating yourself!”

“The food was average, but the egg roll was delicious! One thing I really liked about this place is that you can see the kitchen while they’re cooking — everything looks clean and organized. The bathroom was also very clean. Overall, not the best food, but the place itself is nice and well-kept.”

Being a native metro Detroiter I recall the days of fabulous almond boneless chicken (ABC) from one particular restaurant. 30+ years later, I’m still searching for that taste. This place is pretty darn close. The lunch combo portion was huge, more than enough for two very generous servings. In fact when I picked up the order the bag was so heavy I checked inside to be sure I had gotten the right order. The chicken was tender and breading crisp despite my not eating it for 45 minutes after picking it up. The gravy is the a bit salty neon yellow I recall. The fried rice with a few bean sprouts mixed in was equally good. I did not care for the eggroll, but its importance was marginal. The place is primarily carryout, although they have a few tables where you can sit and enjoy your food. My order was ready promptly. So if you’re one of those metro Detroiters looking to satisfy”

Either staff need to tell drivers or hand it to them. Annoying paying for it and not receiving!”
