“My wife and enjoyed our 55th anniversary with dinner at Amore'. Chef Jenna visited every table in our area and asked about every course we ordered. This is by far the best restaurant in the Grand Rapids area: we ordered the 5 course Chef's menu and each had something different from appetizers through desserts so we could taste all. From the waiter, the live music, our beverages, and Jenna's attention paid to all, the best meal ever.“

“This restaurant came recommend to me as the best steakhouse in Grand Rapids. I was not disappointed. The staff was friendly (Kathryn) and answered all my questions. The atmosphere is perfect for a fancy date. Very romantic setting to impress. I don't drink alcohol and they had an alcohol free 0% Giasen Merlot which was exquisite. I started with French Onion Soup and Cheese Popover Muffins. For an entree, I had Australian Rib Lamb Chops with a Mint Demi Glase. For a side, I enjoyed Brussels Sprouts with Honey Dijon Mustard Sause. Everything exceeded my expectations and the Merlot paired nicely with the Lamb Chops. I highly recommend the Chop House as a must visit dining destination in the heart of Grand Rapids.“

“My nephew and I shared a meal here today and our experiences ranged from very good to off the scale great. We tried a Hot Mess breakfast with eggs, potatoes, chorizo,etc; it was perfectly balanced (neither to spicy or bland), super fresh; loved it. We also got a grilled cheese, with pepper jelly. The bread was the best ever (toasted perfectly) and crunchy, and it wasn't to cheesy (some places put too much cheese which makes it messy) with just enough pepper jelly to create an original experience; and one of my favorite sandwiches of my life. The salad was the low point of the meal as it was merely perfect. We also got a chocolate croissant which was great and a pot de creme which was decadent and..can I say perfect again. This is my new favorite place“

“I can't say enough about Fumi and the wonderful experience we have had with her in June and again yesterday. My husband and I did the scallops in June and yesterday four of us did the lamb. Fumi's attention to detail and responding to all our numerous questions went way above and beyond. We purchased 10 gift certificates which we look forward to using. “I've used NBC for two events now and ordered a variety of flavors in the bundtini's for both events. Each time the bundtini's were a major hit! There have been very few left overs each time, much to my dismay.😉Ordering and pick up is a breeze, you can tell they do catering/orders regularly and they have their systems down. The price point is really affordable in my opinion. I will probably continue to use them if I need desserts at an event again in the future. Easy decision, and very tasty.“

“Frequently meet friends and have some of the best brunch in the city. Always busy but for a reason, and the service and hospitality which are already top notch, do not suffer. An example of this is when they bring you your food they remember who ordered which plate. This is one of those underrated hospitality things they do that other establishments don’t reach. “connie’s cakes tasted AMAZING! best vanilla cake i’ve ever had, we will be saving half for our one year anniversary! communication was good, however we were discussing we get a heart shaped vintage cake for our wedding day and they ended up making a circular cake day of. our coordinator picked it up for us and we were able to pay over the phone for easy pick up! i recommend with how good the cake tasted!“

I didn’t try the food, so can’t speak to that, but their beer selection is solid — especially if you’re into hop-forward brews. The atmosphere is fun and lively, and the service was solid throughout. Definitely a cool place to hang out and enjoy some well-crafted beers in Grand Rapids.“

“We purchased a variety of cheesecakes to serve for our wedding dessert. They were a huge hit. Every single flavor was sooooo good. We got so many compliments from our guests. The owner is friendly; communication was efficient and prompt. Super happy with our choice. If we ever had another event, I would absolutely order a bulk order again. For now, I will continue to stop in and purchase from the available cheesecakes in the coolers :)“

“I thought that since there are multiple Cottage Inn locations there wouldn't be real big differences between the locations when ordering the same item but I was definitely wrong. I ordered a roma pesto pizza from the downtown location and was really disappointed overall, especially when compared to the Roma pesto that I usually order from the Wealthy st location. To start with, there was no pesto drizzle and I initially didn't think there were any Roma tomatoes at all. I did eventually discovered though that there were a few on there, but I didn't recognize them since they were burnt black and crispy and looked like maybe spinach. There was too much cheese with not enough since and the combination resulted in a very dry, bland pizza that was absolutely different than the same pizza ordered at Wealthy.“

“Karisa at Dreamscape Desserts was absolutely wonderful to work with. Her desserts were a huge hit to our Winter Masquerade Ball.

Guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was, and just as many commented on how beautiful the presentation was. You could really feel the care, creativity, and attention to detail she put into every piece. She also helped with recommendations and gave us plenty of options to choose from!

We are so grateful to Karisa for being part of our event and for helping make our fundraising ball a success. I will absolutely be stopping by again soon for more desserts, especially the cupcakes and cookies. Highly recommend!!“

“One word, yummy! I am a huge fan of Rise, often stopping in for a bagel and latte, so having Rise make the delicious cutting cake was a no-brainer! “First time...crazy I know. But I had to try cosmic fries. They were okay. My grandson couldn't stop eating them. The new chicken dunkers kinda have a weird texture going on. Took just over half hour to get the food (we were in a rush for movie theater so we were getting kinda worried there for a minute) Waiter was kind and attentive. Place could use a good wipe down on the booths and plexiglass in between. However, I'd try them again.“
