The food is good but don't arrive at the restaurant anytime later than 1:15 minutes before they close. The owner will make it 100% obvious that she doesn't want your business because she is tired and wants to go home right at closing time.
We had a morning breakfast, and I think we were the first customers to come in. The entrance opens into the bar, and as we sat someone came in and directed to sit in the back, a dining room down the hall. The decor is quaint, and reflects the harbor-town culture; fascinating to study while you wait. Photos of great lakes shipwrecks, characters and maps. We wandered in here on a Friday night, absolutely starving and had no idea what to expect. We were so impressed by our server who was apparently running the whole operation. She tended bar, made the food, and bussed the tables and was welcoming and friendly. My BLT with a fried egg was probably the most delicious BLT I've ever had with thick bacon, bakery bread, and not an over abundance I've lettuce and tomatoes.
