“Absolutely delicious! Since leaving New Jersey, which is the land of milk and good bread, I have committed myself to finding good bread here in metro Detroit. There have been many places that come close, but literally this is the best bread I've had in years. The staff and owners and chefs and everyone were just absolutely so friendly. They gave me some samples of foods that I'd never tried. They even offered some olives for me to eat. I hate olives, but I loved those olives! I cannot wait to come back.“

“This place is so lovely! The food was incredible, the service was flawless and it had an old world charm. Their minestrone soup was so flavorful, I loved my lasagna and the prices were incredibly reasonable for the amazing quality of the food and service.

“We usually come here for larger family gatherings and are taken care of well. Family style/large group dining options are very good and delicious. We ordered off of the menu this time with separate checks. I was surprised we weren't offered beverages but they did keep my water full. Soups were not brought out with kids food as the menu suggested. They were out of Cesar dressing (bummer.) House salad was still delicious. Items unfortunately were not split correctly at payment time. Do you sing for people's birthdays? We like embarrassment. 😄
Still, the bread and food is delicious. We usually like the spumoni however, they mostly gave us chocolate and cherry but we really enjoy the pistachio as well. Eh, maybe it was an off day. 🤷🏼‍♀️“

“Really nice folks and beautiful interesting interior. Been on my list opening 4 months ago. Ordered Pupu Platter, Chinese Scallion Pancakes, Large Chinese Veggies Soup and Chicken Egg Foo Young. Surprised when eating inside no plates or silverware. Everything brought out in to go containers that's okay. Absolutely fantastic Delicious Scallion Pancakes not found in many places. The quart of Spot packed full was good except broth zero flavor like water. Chicken Egg Foo Young nothing like ever had weird crunchy patties with very small amount of gravy. The very good Rice and a mega amount. Egg Roll spot on Wonderful. The bad absolutely worse ever Pupu Platter Chicken Wings dry, Crab Rangoon Yuk, Shrimp heavy batter couldn't taste Shrimp. Ribs just ok, Spring Rolls a winner and what they call Teriyaki Beef I know as Balamaki was great. I'm willing to give them another chance to change my 3 star rating. Great effort by cook just not up to par with dozen other Chinese restaurants in the area.“

“I ordered a Greek Salad yesterday from Kabob Inn and it was SOOOO GOOD!! Chicken was just how I like it cooked and I added ranch dressing. I was in heaven. They also have great customer service!! I'm making them a preferred lunch spot!!“

“Some friends and I decided to check this place out because of Chow Down Detroit (I just moved to the area and have been trying to find local gems) and let me tell you, the food was absolutely delicious and filling and the portions were amazing. Not only that but the people who work here are amazing. They were so patient with us while we asked questions and helpful and made sure we got to try all the best things. I can't hype this place up enough. We will absolutely be back!“

“Had a meal with my mom yesterday the biscuits came dried out, hard like rocks and came out old and cold. Our waitress never brought out plates for out appetizer I had to ask for them. I had to ask for bags to take our food home, the dinning room was dirty and full of tables that needed to be cleaned. I never received another drink when I asked for a refill. The food was just ok nothing special and for the cost of 2 meals, appetizer, and dessert, with 2 drinks the service was awful. I've been to this location before and everything was fine. But yesterday it was just awful I was trying to take my mother out for a good time. Your restaurant costs so much to have awful customer service.“

“I’ve been coming to Ananas for quite some time, and it has always been one of my go-to spots. In the past, the subs were consistently fresh, flavorful, and satisfying, which is why I kept coming back.

Unfortunately, during my most recent visit, I noticed a noticeable drop in quality. The food wasn’t bad by any means, but it also wasn’t as good or as delicious as I’ve come to expect from this place. The flavors felt a bit muted, and the overall experience didn’t quite live up to the standard they had set for themselves over the years.

I’m sharing this feedback because I genuinely like this spot and hope this was just an off day. I really want to see them return to the level of quality that made them stand out in the first place.“
