I spent five months in Detroit and this was hands down my most visited restaurant in town. Every single time I came in I was blown away by the menu, the service and overall atmosphere. This is a 10/10, can't miss spot. If you live in Detroit and haven't stopped by, make this your next brunch or dinner reservation. If you're visiting, make sure you check it out before you leave. I promise you will leave happy, full and already looking forward to your next meal there.
Alpino is amazing! The cuisine here is unlike any other restaurant I’ve been to in the US, with its food and drink from the Alps. I was a bit skeptical of the menu before going but this place knocked it out of the park.
To start, we got the raclette as well as the parsnip and pear salad. For our main dish, we got the venison filet and the polenta al sugo.
The space was super well-designed with the woodwork, seating, and walls that were adorned...

We had brunch reservations at another Detroit establishment but were ignored for 20 minutes as we watched others being attended. The young lady on the phone was friendly (most likely the same young lady who sat us as hostess) and our server Liam was outstanding. Friendly and humorous and attentive. He made it a fun and pleasant afternoon. Food, as always, delicious.
