Fantastic authentic Detroit feel. I was greeted when I walked in and the folks working were happy. The area felt safe walking to from the local hotel I was staying at. Worth the walk!
It was great experiencing the Coney Island competitive giants. These world famous establishments did not disappoint. We preferred the Lafayette chill, but the overall experience was better at American. That was our personal opinion that day, but it is easy to see why anyone could love one or the other or both. They were friendly at American Coney Island and very attentive. I would definitely go back to this place if my health didn't matter!
