This is a fun eatery that is truly surprising. After a nice walk on the Detroit riverfront, head on up a couple of blocks to this gem. Craft cocktails, amazing burgers, tangy cauliflower bites, tots arcade, and add some cornhole competition to top off a great afternoon.
My brother and I drove downtown to enjoy a local beer and some good food. Atwater was the place to go. It had both indoor and outdoor seating. We were welcomed warmly and shown to our table. The service was attentive and the food came out in a timely manner. The beer menu had several choices. I went with their Shandy Lemon Life, it was refreshing. Having come from out of town but growing up in the area, seeing the changes is amazing. Atwater has a long history with Detroit...
I was there yesterday before a show and I ordered the Michigan salad. It was good but came out with no apples and not much cheese either. I still ate it as we were in a hurry. I told our server and she told me the kitchen was probably out of apples and that happens sometimes. I wish she would’ve told me that when I ordered it. As a paying customer I expect to get what I ordered off the menu.
