“Oh MAN Rocco's is the place I have searched for in vain until last year when I tried them for the first time. Since that first meatball sub I have had almost every sandwich on the menu and so far not one has disappointed! Today I had the Corner Deli and was transported to Italian paradiso! In case you non-Italians did not know, ciabatta is the Italian baguette and Rocco's bakes many fresh loaves several times per day! Usually it is still warm from the oven even if you get a cold sandwich! There is no better sandwich bread in my progenic-Italian opinion! They are in Midtown on Cass just East of Mack. Try them if you have yet to do so. You will thank the gods!“

If going on lunch break be aware there can be a line, so make sure to account for that. It does move quickly though.“

“Some of the best takeout sandwiches here in Detroit. The corned beef is phenomenal. The turkey sandwich is phenomenal, and there is a sandwich that has all the meats on it. You'll never go wrong with the onion. The roll typically opens about 11:00 every day, and be prepared to have cash. There is an ATM at the gas station up the street, but this is a cash-only establishment. I would bring about 15 to 20 bucks unless you're going with the daily special, which can be less. Also, they have desserts, drinks, snacks,s and other things of all prices and sizes.“

“A local legend. When I get that craving for a Reuben it's the place I go. The bread is top notch. The Swiss is not (prob the GFS swiss American) but for the price, it's heaven.
Be careful with ordering, they can't always hear you! Asked for 1 slice of cake, got charged for 2...but we ate both for sure.
(Pineapple upside down cake was perfect).

Highly recommend this place. Just don't plan to sit and eat, sat on a broken bench seat!“

“Staff is very friendly. I was missing a few items from my pick up order, but when I called the store, the attendant quickly remembered my purchase. I did not have to wait long as I return to the store to pick up these items either. I am so glad I have purchased these two items for dinner and I have had past experiences where items in my pick up order have been canceled without my knowledge.

Always very kind when I visit here and the store is always clean inside. Lines do get long sometimes because this is a neighborhood grocery store but they move very fast.“

“DO NOT listen to the negative reviews on this place I have no idea why everyone has such a problem with the food. I ordered the pigs feet and Mac and cheese with brown gravy. The Mac and cheese is some of the best soul food Mac and cheese I've ever had. It's even better than Fixins. And the pigs feet were full of flavor, very tender, not fatty or too salty. Even the portion sizes were good. I will for sure be ordering from here again more often.“
