“Hi. I was looking online for a good sandwich place and got a corned beef sandwich today. The staff and overall experience was great! However, I've never seen such a highly rated sandwich place use processed cheese instead of actual swiss cheese. The meat was good although the portion seemed a bit light and the sandwich overall was excellent. I'll come back but won't ask for cheese on my sandwiches.“

“Oh MAN Rocco's is the place I have searched for in vain until last year when I tried them for the first time. Since that first meatball sub I have had almost every sandwich on the menu and so far not one has disappointed! Today I had the Corner Deli and was transported to Italian paradiso! In case you non-Italians did not know, ciabatta is the Italian baguette and Rocco's bakes many fresh loaves several times per day! Usually it is still warm from the oven even if you get a cold sandwich! There is no better sandwich bread in my progenic-Italian opinion! They are in Midtown on Cass just East of Mack. Try them if you have yet to do so. You will thank the gods!“

Had a great selection of meats & pierogi flavors, picked up the breakfast + buffalo chicken ones to try along with their homemade polish mustard! “Was craving a good deli sandwich and this place hit the spot!!! Wife got the oak house turkey and I got the spicy turkey, bacon (hold the avocado) we got combos with a drink and chips! I also got the cactus chili and it was perfectly spicy and flavorful. All around $32 which I feel like is pretty cheap for 2 people nowadays. The gal and gentleman working there greeted us immediately and were so helpful. There was also froyo while you waited. I regret not getting one of their cakes.“

“I was told about Breakaway Deli by a fellow realtor, Mike Nafsou. He raved about it and told me I had to go! I'm very glad he did b/c this place is awesome! You know you've found a good deli when you get there at noon and the place is PACKED! Line nearly out the door! If you show up and its busy DON'T leave, because the service is awesome and they will make sure you still get your order in a very timely fashion. Oh and the food... Outstanding! Fresh bread, great meats all topped with a delicious dressing. I had the #21 Italian Sub. Needless to say I'll be stopping in as often as I can to try out more of their food.“

“Staff is very friendly. I was missing a few items from my pick up order, but when I called the store, the attendant quickly remembered my purchase. I did not have to wait long as I return to the store to pick up these items either. I am so glad I have purchased these two items for dinner and I have had past experiences where items in my pick up order have been canceled without my knowledge.

Always very kind when I visit here and the store is always clean inside. Lines do get long sometimes because this is a neighborhood grocery store but they move very fast.“

Due to Covid, our wedding was put together in 3 months. CJ’s handled everything beautifully. Set up, clean up, making sure food was restocked, they were marvelous. I would be happy to use them again.
