Former Detroiter now living in Columbus...I drove up to play tour guide for a friend from Arizona who was visiting Detroit and wanted a unique and outstanding dining experience and Giovanni's did not disappoint. The caprese salad was amazing and the caesar salad authentic and perfectly dressed. I had the Blackened Faroe Salmon which came with two shrimp...all were again perfectly done, sitting atop tender risotto and my friend had the saltimbocca, which he said was excellent....
Food was excellent!! Portion large so enough to take some home. Valerie our server was very polite and efficient. While the restaurant was full you could carryon table conversation with ease. A great place for either a casual or special evening!
We had a spectacular anniversary dinner at Giovanni's! It was a place that had everything I wanted - excellent food, service, valet parking, and my favorite Frank Sinatra music. THANK YOU!
