A retro sandwich shop that serves amazing sandwiches. I remember going there as a child with my dad, so I revisited the place with my son. The Reuben sandwich was tender juicy flavorful and grilled nicely just as I remembered. My son had the make a meal sandwich with roast beef which is pictured. Don't forget to try the crispy onion rings too. It was nice making new memories with my son as my dad did with me.

So sad the new owner ruined this Detroit Classic SHAMEFUL 😢. Hundreds of negative reviews around the web now. Slow Service, terrible overpriced food what have you done. We visited once and never again, so few customers now. They put a disaster management crew in charge. I stay stay far away, spend your money elsewhere.

New owners have let the quality slip. Hopefully it’s just growing pains with new staff and they will get back to the top quality deli they were for so many years. Bring back the special!

I ordered a BLT. The bacon was not freshly cooked. Also I don't know why I had to wait about 30 min, maybe, for the sandwich when the bacon was already cooked. Also the sandwich was sloppy with the chipped up bacon falling out. I've been coming here for years never experienced this. But I will continue to come.

Stopped in on our way out of town. Coffee was flowing, breakfast was hot and delicious. Our server was awesome.

Horrible, I got a corn beef. I used to eat here all the time, but I haven’t been here in a while my son and I stopped to get a corn beef and cheese burger the corn beef was tasteless as if it was soaking in water, I know I ask for a hot corn beef sandwich but I got a cold sandwich that was chewy and thick just nasty over priced my son burger was also nasty; he said Coney Island was better I spent $30 for this never again will we be back. Just messed up my childhood deli horrible just horrible

What a great hidden gem!! I had the hot turkey and mash potatoes. My friend had reuben sandwich. We asked about the soup. The waitress was fantastic and she told us about how it's all homemade. Then she brings us samples of the soup! Great food!!

Stopped in for lunch in our way back downtown. Location was easy to find and parking was close. The outside is very dated but gave it that nice deli/diner feel. Went inside, greeted by the staff. The inside is very outdated and much in need of a renovation. There are ceiling tiles that look as if they’re about to bust open during the next thunderstorm. Tables and chairs are old, which is fine, but they’re rusting out. Our server was friendly and attentive but had to instruct the cook when and how to prepare items. Watched him microwave soup that was then served. Husband enjoyed his meal, mine was mediocre at best. Wouldn’t return, as much as we wanted to like it.

Today I wanted a corned beef sandwich really bad, I was at work, which is down the street. I ordered my sandwich online and a coworker picked it up. Simple sandwich extra corned beef, Mayo, Mustard with Coleslaw on grilled rye. I was excited when I got the sandwich but when I bit into this sandwich it tasted like nothing, it had no flavor at all, it was tough and desert dry, even with the Coleslaw. I paid $18.44 for that sandwich and had to throw it away. The best thing about the meal was the Pickle, it was delicious. They should've cut the meat thinner, or slow cooked it longer it was disgusting. I'm use to corned beef that's so tender it's falling apart with a lot of flavor. I will continue to cook my own or continue to go to Lou's on 6 mile or Mr. Corned beef on 7 mile. I will never go to hygrade's again.

I hadn’t been to high grade since the new ownership. I got the meal in a sandwich, it was more like a cold slaw sandwich, very little meat, way too much dressing, just sloppy!! Never going back!!!!
