LADIES BEWARE!! ?I had a reservation last Saturday with my significant other. Once seated, a member of the wait staff came walking by our table, obviously looking at me. He then proceeded to the mirror directly across to the left of our table. He began to act like he was checking his appearance, while again directly staring at me. I was immediately uncomfortable, but he then walked away after a minute or two. Shortly after he walked away, another member of the wait staff proceeded to do the same thing, same mirror. Then another. Then another. 4 men leering at me via a mirror. The first man lingered near us the majority of dinner, and the others were always walking and lingering in the area leading to the restrooms, in view of our table, though until later, there were no patrons dining there. My significant other caught them in the eye a few times throughout our dinner. I called Joe Muer on Monday to speak to management regarding the behavior of their staff. Leigh, the manager, said she was appalled, said there was quite a difference between flattery and disrespect, and told me she would like to discuss the matter with other management, and she would call me back. That was two days ago, and I haven't heard a word from them. So ladies, unless you enjoy being leered at by strange men, I highly recommend you choose another restaurant.**UPDATE**Joe Muer did not contact me until after my review had been posted. The manager only attempted to contact me once not twice, I have the call history. I called yesterday (4/26) I was told management was too busy with their lunch service and would return my call later that day. That was yesterday. Apparently Joe Muer's response to a difficult situation is to post online to give a false facade to the public of caring, when clearly they are content to continue to ignore their issues.***Final Update!**I, again, had to contact Joe Muer on 04/27/2023. to ask what their resolution was to their wait staff harassing women in their "upscale" restaurant. I was informed by Matt Smith, that since I enjoyed my food, that the rest of my uncomfortable experience with being treated like the main course for their staff, was irrelevant. Their initial response stated they were embarrassed by their staff's behavior against women, only to be told by Matt Smith the behavior was acceptable since their food was decent. All I can say is there are far better holes in the wall in downtown Detroit with better food and loads of the respect. Don't waste your time or money here. WOW!

This place is just excellent. The service is great - everybody attentive. The menu is extensive - not just seafood. The portion sizes are huge; some of the appetizers could be full meals. The views over the Detroit River into Canada were wonderful for a bright Saturday early evening and night. The fellow patrons were all enjoying themselves as well. Great experience!

One of the most delicious seafood dinners I've had in ages. I definitely can recommend the salmon ravioli, the stuffed barramundi and the roasted branzino. The view is amazing and the servers are really cool people. It was a DELIGHTFUL experience. A definitely must see experience in Downtown

First the atmosphere. The view is beautiful but what really makes it is the pianist. Nothing like having good music at a restaurant. More should do this. The waiter was very nice but would forget certain items. Felt like they are being rushed, probably by owners that want to get the tables empty fast.

Bad service. Food was just ok. Started cleaning the table while we were still eating because it was nearing closing time (not closed, nearing closing time). Bathrooms were unclean. For this type of dining, service and cleanliness should be the least of their worries. Hard Fail for me!

I meannnnnn, i like what Drake likes! The downtown detroit location did not disappoint! The live music was perfect, with a remarkable view overlooking the river and Canada! I ordered a steak! It was delicious, perfectly prepared! The staff is polite and kind! I made wonderful friends just by sitting at the bar! I will certainly return!

I have mixed feelings while writing this review. When we walked in, we were warmly greeted and had a very short wait to be seated for our reservation. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful! Dinner off the water during sunset was stunning. Our waitress, Tamika, quickly came over and shared with us the specials for the day and drink recommendations. Our table decided on 3 seafood dishes and 1 steak dish. I'll start with the seafood dishes. Presentation was great, flavors were ok, but we did not feel the taste was up to par with the 5 star dining or prices. We would give the seafood dishes 3.5 - 4 stars. Now on to the steak dish...which was very disappointing. The first steak which was ordered medium temperature came out obviously well done. Not to mention, the waitress brought out the steak without the potatoes because she didn't like they way that they looked and she asked for them to be remade prior to bringing out. When asked for steak to be recooked, it came out a second time medium well to well temp. Once 2nd steak was brought out, the potatoes finally were brought out. I know we were at a seafood restaurant, but a chef at any type of restaurant should know how to cook a steak at a proper temperature. As I mentioned, I have mixed reviews because we have dined here before with a great experience. This visit was during Valentine's weekend, so perhaps the kitchen was overwhelmed.

I went for the first time on my birthday yesterday. I mentioned it was my birthday and the chef making the sushi said Happy Birthday. I thought that was really nice. The food? Very bland and I give it a 3/10. My sushi looked nice but every time I picked it up it fell apart. So it was difficult to eat. The drink was nice but seemed watery? I thought that was odd. There was no ice. To be honest I expected a little more for the side. Literally it was one baby carrot chopped in the smallest pieces possible. Then 8 string beans. Yes I counted because I was surprised. Overall the atmosphere was beautiful. The staff was pleasant. Ali was nice as well as my server Kyle. To be honest it was an ok experience although I expected better but I won’t return to the establishment.
