Yeah, so I again walk into a place hoping someone knows how to cook some Cajun and creole food and I get disappointed. I think anyone who wants to serve this stuff needs to go down to Louisiana. This is exactly why for the last 15 years I've had to order things(andouille, Tasso, boudin) from Louisiana and make my own. People, please understand that ingredients make a huge difference. So the gumbo - You need REAL andouille! Not freaking spicy hotdogs. You know what, I'm not even going to continue, I'd be writing too much. Gumbo and red beans tried, both horrible!

They never answer the phone and they are not open consistently. Food is good but they make it hard to get it. Tired of chasing them.

I've been going to the eastern market location for decades now. But they don't answer the phone so I'll complain here. I'm highly upset that I ordered the shrimp Creole and was given the Cajun version I guess. My husband doesn't eat meat and was highly upset to bite into a piece. Don't start messing up now that you're in a new location

Seafood Gumbo was not a gumbo at all, it was a very thin soup. Mve y wife and I drove 18 miles to the new location for this disappointment. As the saying goes, "Fool me once..."

I want to rave about this place so bad because the food is so good however their business hours aren’t consistent and no one ever answers the phone. I placed an order at 11AM, it was confirmed right away. When I got to the actual location, it’s boarded up with a sign on the door that says closed. Maybe the owners should’ve kept one location because the business is running itself into the ground.

First time eating here the food is good but it's really expensive and they forgot my collard greens that's pretty disappointing probably won't go back but they've been rocking and rolling so long they probably don't
Placed online order to Gratiot location. Arrived and it was closed. No answer at any other location. Stole my money. I'm reporting to BBB

The gumbo is awful. It was like soup and had no taste. Tried this place twice (Gratiot and Seven Mile. (fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me). Should try working on your roux.

Came in town and wanted some gumbo and red beans and rice, so I decided to stop at the spot that I thought was best! Now, to be fair, I did come 45 minutes to closing and ordered. The cashier was very sweet and polite, so that was a plus. My catfish and red beans were fair, but baby, my greens were not as good as I remember they had a sweet aftertaste. The gumbo was not as good either it was super spicy, and the shrimp were a little under cooked for me. The only item that was hot was the fish. O, the cornmuffins were perfect! Everything else was Luke warm. Hopefully, their new location will help the food go back to how I remember 15 years age. I will try again next time I'm home and see if they stepped their game up.
