Stopped in on Gratiot. Absolute gas on the Jambalaya. I went with the large with no modifications and it was phenomenal. Setting the bar high is not my thing but my experience was fantastic. Thanks I’ll be back

Found this place cruising down The Mile The other day.. the Chicken Po'Boy was pretty good, I really enjoyed it.. but the macaroni side left a lot to be desired.. I didn't really want a mac and cheese side, but they don't serve fries. The sides menu should be expanded.. add Cajun style fries and mashed potatoes.. plus the options to deep fry the chicken on the Po'Boy and I'd frequent this place often.

Best hot food value in Southeastern Michigan. The food tastes like home. The fish is cooked fresh. The rice and gravy complements the meat the way momma would want it to. I usually get the chicken. Collard greens are delicious. Mac and cheese has that Thanksgiving texture of being baked. Sweet potato is a true gem. And the price per portion registers above most in modern pricing structures. I'm going twice a month.
