This past weekend I had the greatest opportunity to shoot with Venti Valdez. It was a long anticipated!!! Anyhow I really am impressed and took a note for myself on how prepared she was for our planned shoot. Fortunately our original shoot did not pan out as planned but we did an alternative shoot instead and the photos turned out amazing. She has an amazing eye and i love how she focuses on the entire picture(the story). I'm so grateful to have shared this experience and would definitely recommend Venti for any photography needs.

i first discovered venti valdez a few years ago in her studio at the 4371 gallery in downtown detroit. about three years ago, she started the Manily Bay Cafe with the help of her husband and where the roots of the name of the cafe from. he harkens from manily bay philippines and it is known as one of the most beautiful and tranquil destinations in the world. venti is this amasingly sweet and inspirational lady who loves the arts as well as being an artist herself. she is able to connect of detroit's talented artists with other artists and the public of appreciators of the arts. manily bay cafe is a very soothing and inviting environment where patrons can listen to music, poetry or spoken word artists. held each 1st and 3rd friday of the month. artists from all over the united states fly into detroit to perform along side the local artists that are featured for the evenings event. i like the charm of the cafe and feelings of unity with passionate artists who either want to share their craft or those who are are just listening and taking in all the positive vibes. such as the name, Manily Bay, it reminds you of the beauty and tranquility in the world and sharing that on a stage in detroit. the cafe is a must on a friday night out with your loved one or friends to sit back and enjoy some of detroit's finest talent. come and support detroit's arts community.
