I asked for simple syrup and was denied by a older Black male bartender who was unkind and cold. They can make a negroni so they (and any respectable bar) should have sugar on hand. But their events are fun.
Motor City Wine Bar offers a wide selection of wines, and hosts live music, particularly jazz, and food pop-ups. There's a chill, cozy vibe at this bar especially on the patio during the summer, and reasonable prices. Staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. They offer a curated wine list and limited small bites, such as cheese plates, rather than a full dining menu. I visited on jazz night and the band was spectacular!
