The chef's tasting menu is where it's at. There are some staples we look forward to but there's always delicious surprises too.Vegetarian options: I've only ever done the chef's menu which is selected for you. It means things come that are off the menu which adds more variety than what's listed.

Friendly, hospitable & knowledgeable staff. This establishment is cozy, with elevated, socializing vibes. Love their patio styled seating in the warmer weather. EXCELLENT Paccheri All'arrabbiata ♡ it has now become one of my midtown favorites

Good food. Small portions, they recommend two entrees. Bread was $8 at an Italian restaurant. It was ok, but sets tone for extreme $$$$. Ask if you are celebrating online, but merely say "Happy Birthday"... light a candle on table. Gelato is worth returning for. The rest of the food & culture feels "over priced". Those let downs bother people *seriously.

Honestly, the food is more amazing than I would have thought possible. Went with a party of five other people and each of us thought our dishes were exceptional. The tiramisu is highly highly highly recommended. The pistachio and brown sugar gelato twist also great. Try crumbling some meringue cookies on top of the ice cream.

I went here with some friends for dinner and drinks. The place is kind of small but also very cute and open. The kitchen is open is an open concept, so you can see what the chef's are up to and see them make pasta as well. We sat at the bar, and the service and drinks were great! The food was so tasty and fresh. The linguine al granchio has a nice light lemon taste to it , while the Tarre al Tartufo is a light but savory truffle taste. I highly recommend both, as well as the fish, which was very fresh!!

Food was delicious, pasta divine and fish was exquisite. My waitress took the best care of me and my wife. The atmosphere was extremely comforting and I had a lovely meal and time. My only request would be to add a salad to the menu. Thank you.

The atmosphere is great but the food is not worth the price. I ordered a prime steak..it was select at best…probably even lower grade. I ordered it medium, it came out rare. It was so tough I couldn’t chew it.

A truly superb dining experience. Everything set down in front of us was delicious. The aperitivo, the pasta, the il secondo - we were delighted with every bite. Our service (from Erin) was fantastic, too. Do yourself a favor & dine at SheWolf.

Shewolf is great, second time here. Went here for dinner with friends. Staff acknowledged we were here to enjoy a fine time with friends, and they brought out our dinner accordingly. Not rushed, but not too long, either. That's great service. The food rocks. Well portioned and balanced flavors. It won't disappoint.

What can I say about this place? AMAZING food and equally AMAZING staff. Ruth is an example of what all staff should be. Friendly, enthusiastic about her work , and the food she serves. She picked the absolute PERFECT menu for us as we went with the chefs choice tasting menu. All the compliments to Chef Lombardo. The food is absolutely top shelf. Taste, presentation, and wine selection are some of the best I have ever had. We will 100% be back and I suggest you all go too.

My recent visit to Shewolf in Detroit was, without exaggeration, one of the most regrettable dining experiences I’ve ever endured. What promised to be an evening of culinary delight quickly descended into a showcase of indifference and exorbitant pricing that left me both frustrated and significantly lighter in the wallet. From the moment we stepped into Shewolf, the service—or, more accurately, the lack thereof—was shockingly poor. Staff seemed more interested in conversing among themselves than attending to guests. It took an eternity just to be acknowledged, let alone seated, and this was merely a foreboding of the dismal service to come. A reservation made for a critically important date made months in advance was thrown to the wayside because a table “wasn't quite wrapped up”.Once seated, the neglect continued. The wait for a server to take our order was painfully long, and when our wine was finally served, it was as if daylight robbery was being committed right before our eyes. A bottle of wine, modest at best and one I’ve seen priced at $15 in retail, was presented with a staggering price tag of $70. The markup was not only obscene but also insultingly transparent, an affront to any guest with a semblance of awareness regarding wine pricing. But it was the service that truly marred the experience beyond redemption. Indifferent, unapologetic, and seemingly oblivious to the concept of hospitality, the staff at Shewolf transformed what could have been a bearable dining experience into an unequivocal disaster. Requests were forgotten, smiles were scarce, and the overall atmosphere was one of neglect. To add insult to injury, the ambiance of the place, which might have offered some redemption, was overshadowed by the glaring flaws in service and pricing. One dines out not just for food but for an experience, and Shewolf failed spectacularly on both fronts. The extremely loud and compact tables have the wait staffs buttocks slamming on your food close enough to give you a week’s worth of pink eye.In conclusion, my visit to Shewolf was a stark reminder that high prices do not always equate to high quality, either in food or service. It was a lesson learned in the most disappointing of ways. To those considering a visit, I implore you to reconsider. Detroit boasts many culinary gems where your time, appetite, and money will be far better spent.Feel free to adjust the tone or details to better fit your actual experience or to ensure the review reflects your thoughts accurately.

Chef Lombardo demonstrated how to properly prepare his risotto dish. The risotto was truly the best I have ever had. He also educated us on the methods and standards of ingredients he uses in his establishment. They actually mill their own flour for their pastas and breads! This is a must stop on my next special occasion restaurant trip! Thank you Chef for your dedication and educating us today. You were hilarious.

Delicious all in all. Carpaccio, focaccia, citrus crudi, cavoletti, ravioli with butternut squash filling and pistachio gelato (!) were very good (gelato was exceptional).Cacio e Pepe and Carbonara were okay. The cocktails were good but tge second round of Negroni came with slices of orange instead of orange peel. Felt strange after they got the first round correct. I guess one of bartenders wasn’t on point.Heather, the lady who was waiting our table was friendly, easy going, funny, attentive and understanding of our loud, multilingual and multicultural group ??.
