We were there exactly at 5pm, first ones there when they open, and witnessed the host lighting the gas lamp above the entrance, a nice touch. We were seated promptly and food and drinks were great. Nice variety in the menu and overall a fun experience, would recommend 100%.
We hadn't been to Standby in ages. We decided to go back because it was one of the featured restaurants on open table with a promotion on our Chase Sapphire reserve card. It didn't disappoint. We took our kids there for the first time and they were very accommodating, making fun mocktails for them. Every app and main course was shared and enjoyed by us all. We'll def put it back in our usual rotation of restaurants.
Standby, where have you been all my life?! Why aren't more people talking about this place? Maybe they are, but I'm new here. Drinks were spectacular, crab waffle, not what I expected, but BETTER, it was a whole bowl of buttered crab meat and a waffle on the side. Highly recommend. The banana parfait dessert was adorable and I tried to eat it all cute, but scarfed it down in a few bites. Overall great value. Our server Marquis was very helpful and sweet. I'm coming...
