It was our first time in this place and Ibrahim made our experience so great!! He guided us on the menu and had amazing mixology skills. Will be coming back!
This is a can't miss spot in Detroit. The drinks were awesome and the food was spectacular. My only regret was not ordering 2 orders of the wings - they were some of the best we ever had.

Standby is a hidden gem cocktail bar with great staff, drinks, and food. The brisket, gnocchi, and amaretto sour come highly recommended. The cocktails are outstanding with complex flavors, and the food, like the Black Berrata and karange, is delicious. The vegan ice cream dessert is a must-try. The service is impeccable, with waitstaff like Brandy who provide excellent recommendations and menu knowledge. The atmosphere is often somber, making it a good place for icebreakers like first dates or meet and greets. Visiting from Los Angeles, many find the drinks and service on Sunday nights to be just as good as in top Hollywood spots, with cheerful staff and beautifully crafted cocktails. Overall, Standby offers a fantastic experience not to be missed when in town.
