I hosted a company dinner at The Block last week and was so pleased with the outcome. We initially picked The Block due to its proximity with the UM Detroit Center, but the food and drinks were so delicious, we would've gladly traveled farther for it. Visiting Detroit and exploring the city, came across The Block and we're so glad we stopped in. Not only was the food phenomenal the atmosphere was also vibrant and inviting not to mention the service that made even us out-of-towners feel like regulars. Thank you Brenis, Resse and Tanisha for being so amazing we'll definitely be back!
I would have loved to give this a better review but we told our server my sister is deathly allergic to strawberries and not to put strawberries on the french toast. And no powdered sugar. Her food came from the kitchen help with strawberries and powedered sugar. They politely took it back but when we brought it to the attention of the server, she just said oh well that's the kitchen. I explained that could have been a bad medical situation. She didn't seem bothered.
