Was a cool little shop. You order completely through your own phone which made it easy to split checks. The espresso was good in the CappuccinoHardly bitter. Milk could’ve been foamed better though.SO said her chai was just ok. Little to milky and little too cinnamonyOmelette was good, nice and soft. Surprisingly good fruit cup, usually they’re sad everywhere lolChicken sausage breakfast was solid. Could’ve been a little more flavorful but definitely good still especially with the cool hot sauce they had.OHHH. Forgot cream scone with lemon curd was amazing.Definitely would come again!

I'm going to try really hard not to allow my bias to taint my review of this restaurant. Their tiny parking lot in the back of the restaurant is really convenient. The restaurant is very tiny too. It only seats about 30 people.. It's pretty tight and cozy. We were told to pick our own table and then a "waiter" came by to make sure we knew how to use the QR code to order and pay for our food. I hate ordering from a QR code. It's so impersonal. But whatever..... we scanned and ordered. When I went to the cart to pay, I was given the option of tipping the "waitstaff" 18%, 20% or 25%. Um, excuse me? What waitstaff? Me? I took my own order! Basically this is a self-serve restaurant with food runners. I understand its benefits and why restaurants are switching to the QR code system but I find it irritating that the place would suggest a 25% tip for their waitstaff when all they are doing is running food. They don't seat you, take your order, refill your drinks or cash you out. It's frustrating. Anyway, once I ordered, tipped the staff and paid, a lady brought me a big mug of hot, yummy coffee and a little glass of ice. (You fill the glass yourself with the water from the bud vase on your table.) I ordered a basic breakfast and it was pretty dang good! The eggs were cooked perfectly. The bacon was just right! (not too crispy or too blubbery), the house potatoes were bits of perfectly cooked redskins. They were HIGHLY seasoned. (Maybe even over-seasoned and a little bit too spicy) However, they were so soft and hot, I couldn't stop eating them. LOL. I was served only one slice of toast. It seemed cheap (like a cost-cutting measure) to me. Overall, the food was very good. If I were rating just their food, I'd give them a 9/10. Food was good quality, piping hot and reasonably priced. However, I'm going to factor in the "service" and ambiance in my overall rating. I'd give the service a 1 for saying hello when we entered, pointing to the QR code on the wall, dropping off the cup of coffee and bringing the food out to our table. The ambience was a 4/10. Tight quarters, unremarkable decor and an icy draft blasting down my back from the heating system overhead makes me rate it low. I'll give this place a 6/10 overall. The food is good enough to bring me back. Check it out.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Brooklyn is a hidden gem near downtown Detroit. Despite its small size, this restaurant delivers big on both customer service and food quality. We sampled their chicken sandwich, burgers, and an omelette, and each dish exceeded our expectations. The flavors were delicious, and the presentation was impressive. The drinks complemented our meals perfectly. What truly stood out, though, was the outstanding customer service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience. We truly appreciate the attention to detail and warmth from the entire team at Brooklyn. This is definitely a place worth visiting again and again.

Super quick service, easy ordering through QR code, great food. Got there right after they opened, and would recommend getting there early to avoid wait times (around 10:30am the latest for weekend visits is when it started getting busy). Will be back!

Super cute, quaint brunch spot! I got the traditional breakfast and added one of their famous banana walnut pancakes to try! Delicious! The staff were all very friendly, helpful, and attentive! They use locally sourced ingredients and have monthly and seasonal specials! It is very small, so on busier days there’s def a wait. Vegan friendly!

This small Corktown eatery was on my list for years - I will travel long distances for poutine. So when a friend suggested this place for brunch, I was beyond excited. Of course, I arrived early for our meet-up. I'm always worried about getting lost, despite an assist from Google, and finding parking. If I'm early, it only means more reading time from the comfort of my car. When the diner opened for the day, there was already a small line up and tables filled up quickly. My friend and I pulled up the menu via the QR code and we placed our order and paid through the same code. The food was brought to our table when it was ready. I ordered the large poutine without hesitation. Plain, no bacon or eggs to spoil the dish. The fries were crispy and delicious and the beef gravy was flavorful. Unfortunately, the cheese curds were small and had not had a chance to melt yet. The croque madam was incredible. I loved the tangy, grilled sourdough with bacon and Swiss cheese. The maple mustard and bechamel sauce elevated the taste of the sandwich. The fried egg was yum. Glad I made it a madam. Service was quick and friendly. We were done within an hour and noticed that most of the neighboring tables had already emptied. So, waiting in the morning might not be all that bad.

Went for brunch last week, service was awesome and quick. The breakfast poutine was absolutely delicious and a very solid bloody mary. Will definitely be going back!

There was an hour wait, so we decided take-out was the better option, and it was. The staff were really attentive and friendly. We got the food in 15 - 20 minutes and dashed him. The pancakes were flavorful. You can taste the banana in the pancakes. The walnuts were lightly toasted and a pinch of sweet. The potatoes and tempeh bacon were seasoned well. I tend to like them a tad more crisper, but overall, they were good.
